early morning wakings with twins

Hello, wonder if anyone can help me with this one. We have been quite fortunate that our twins girls are relatively good sleepers. However for the last few weeks they have been taking it in turns to wake up at 5am (and even 3.45am this morning). As we have older dcs, I have got up quickly to bring the waking baby to bed with me before she wakes up everyone else, and feed her. However, as soon as I have fed her and put her back down to sleep, the other one wakes up, and repeat the process. But when put baby 2 back down, baby 1 then wakes up again for good. Argh. Can't really face tandem feeding at that time in the morning. Am shattered.

Hey op,

How old are your twins? Mine have been doing the same for the last few days; they are just under 4months. Waking up 5ish sleeping again around 8!

How dark is their room? Is it the birdsong they can hear as well maybe?

We have a blackout blind but it still lets a fair bit of light in round the sides and we went through a phase of this until I taped the blind to the window frame and shoved multiple pairs of leggings across the gap at the top!
