Pram/buggy (Graco Quattro Tandam Duo)

Hi All

I am expecting twins! I already have a 22 month old daughter.

We have my daughers car seat from when she was born and in order to cut costs we are thinking of getting the Graco Quattro Duo Tandem which my daughters car seat will fit into (meaning we will only need to buy one extra car seat!) and it will also be good if my daughter (toddler) will need to have a ride in the front if she is tired!

Just wondering what Tandem pram you have got and if you have had/used the Graco Quattro Tandem duo and what you think of it?

Bearing in mind we have limited funds and cant really afford to spend £1000 in a new pram system!

I have read the reviews and some people think it is great and some people think it is heavy and difficult too use. I suppose you can only compare it to what you are used to though!

Please comment as it will help our choice greatly.

Thanks
Frances

We used it for the first year, then sold it and bought a second hand city jogger.
The graco is ok, very heavy, so hard work as they got bigger. And tbh it wasnt that easy to steer. Good shopping basket though.
We bought it because it is narrow enough to fit in our stupidly small hallway.

I used Mountain Buggy for twins (when I worked as a nanny, not with my own) and it was AMAZING!

I had it as our travel system for my twins, loved it. really easy to steer, easy to click car seats in and out. large shopping basket, handy pointy handlebars to hang stuff on - as a trvel system on a budget its fab. I have just sold it all to a friend with twins and she loves it too.

downside is it is very heavy so the older the kids, the heavier to push. also large to get into the car, but so are most doubles! it does feel very sturdy though, I was never worried about breaking it or anything bashing it about etc. wasn't bad offroad either as locking front wheels.

I had a similar age gap, eldest was 28m - you cant get a buggy board for the Quattro which may be worth considering. I did occasionally sling one twin so my eldest and other twin could ride but the eldest wanted to be at the front to see out and it was really really heavy with him there.

to be honest when we looked it was the ONLY option within a sensible budget.

my twins are 17m and have just gone forward facing in the car so no longer need a travel system. I have got a second hand nipper 36o on ebay and it is the beesknees - so light to steer and the twins love it. if you drive a lot then a travel system is important but if you don't maybe consider something like the nipper or I hear good things about the city jogger.

Thanks. I got a quattro double tandem pdf Ebay for 57 pounds complete with another cat seat and base, so very happy with that and even if we only use it for a few months I will be happy.
