I felt like shit almost all the way through my pg and I didn't have another DC to look after. I looked and felt so much better once I had them. Obivoulsy I was tired when they came, but it was a different sort of tired.
Assume you're not working? As soon as you get back from the school run, get yourself back into bed. Sod the housework.

I'm sure you've got loads of people who would be only too willing to help out. Ask for specific help, people are more likely to agree if they know what you want.
Can you pick up DC from school
Can you pick up some food from Asda

Also, invite people round for a coffee to keep you company. A good gossip and a moan will make you feel much better.

I agree free! I slept so much better with newborn twins than I did when pregnant with them grin.

Have you spoken to midwives about physio referral for you pain? Its awful being in pain and he you could get that sorted you may feel a bit better. Physio worked really well for me

Oh I really feel for you. Please look after yourself and take it as easy as possible.

On the upside, the day after my twins were born by c section I felt AMAZING!

Ps know what you mean about money concerns and I have also had to bin the school run though feel guilty that my ds isn't getting the exercise. It won't kill him for a couple of months though.

If you do have more episodes of feeling down/anxious, then possibly speak to your GP about some short term anti-depressents, I understand that some women pregnant with twins and feeling anxious are prescribed them?

Hi Butterflies.

Sorry to hear that you are feeling down on occasions, do you feel better now? Pm if you ever want to, where you live etc. Really do burden other people, I have found that people genuinely want to help and need to just take them up on their offers, I certainly will when my twins are born. Before I was pregnant, I was coasting through life quite happily and would have been NO skin off my nose to help another mum who was struggling in any way I could, through time, looking after the baby, or chatting etc. That's how we should approach those offers of help.

Do you have other dcs? I recall that you may have had one older dc (tho apologies if I have got that wrong). I remember when I had my first dc how worried and anxious I was beforehand, and when I had one dc and was worried about the logistics of coping with two. I got through it (what other option do we have) and if it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger so they say. Traumas and issues at work now seem insignificant to dealing with a potty training todder whilst simultaneously having a breast feeding baby hanging off my boob with a dirty nappy and the phone going!!!

Hope you are getting the support you need in real life, and remember the phrase, its all just a phase and won't last forever x x

Sorry you're feeling like this but I know how you feel. Being pregnant with twins is very overwhelming! I found it daunting, painful, extremely uncomfortable, exhausting and in some ways, like having a temporary disability. It just feels never ending at times.

But of course it will end and you'll have not 1 but 2 beautiful babies. I know that even that might not feel enough to get you through on the bad days, but it's well worth it, believe me smile.

Do try and reach out to friends. I'm sure you'd do the same for them if the situation was reversed. Since mine have been born, I've got better at asking for help and my friends have been a great support in various ways.

Take time to rest each day. These last few weeks are hard and you will need to slow down. Most days, the school run was all I could manage and anything else was an absolute bonus!

Hope you're feeling better today xx

27 weeks pregnant with twins and I feel useless

Pain in my lower back and pelvis mean I can walk much - the 10 min school run from the car leaves me exhausted

Can't sit for or stand for long
Doing dinner is now getting to be a real chore

Money is getting tight

I'm starting to want to cry all the time

I feel trapped

I want my body and life back

Feeling very lonely
