Do your twins share a bed?

Ours are 5 months and have always shared a bed. Really for space reasons as if we'd had 2 cotbeds in our room with our big bed we'd have had no floor space.
Now they're moving into their own room so have the space but in the past if we've tried to put one down first they don't settle until the other one is there too so now I don't know how to split them up!

They do sometime wake each other up or one will hit or kick the other by accident.

What do you think I should do? I like them sharing in some ways as they really are very sweet together and clearly hate being apart but at the same time I'd like them to have their own beds.

What do/did you do?

Ours shared until the first one pulled up to stand (and fell a lot). Small babies in a cotbed so plenty of room plus dd very tolerant of being sat on

When you put them in their own room put the cot beds right next to each other so they can see and smell them but can't disturb each other. My first set shared until they were 8 months and the 2nd set were bigger and one has health problems do they were split up at 5 months.
