Oh that sounds good Not the kind of thing I normally pick up, but the kind I tend to enjoy once someone has plonked it in my hands

Oh yes - I remember. DD says she hasn't finished what I was going to send, so am thinking again. (It was 'Paula' by Isabel Allende).

Agh - Flame, you'll probably hate everything I like then. I know what I'm going to send now, providing dd1 has finished reading it. Will get into a parcel - dp hasn't had a trip to the post office for ages.

Blimey - two whole books that I haven't read. I'm excited.

I've got 'Half Of A Yellow Sun' waiting at the side of the bed...will I like that? Have just read 'Revolutionary Road'.

You're as bad as my family and bloody xmas lists.

Erm, I dunno - most recently enjoyed books or authors are Tom Holt, Christopher Brookmyre, and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister.
Will post then! smile
I'm betting you haven't read andyrobo's book either!

Yes - erm...do I? Yes! I haven't read it and have never heard of it so I am completely open minded.

Flame - I got Persuasion today, thanks. What types of things do you fancy reading? I don't know what to send!
<coughs> Ahem... Janeite... do you want me to send you this book then? grin
Let me know...

Emphasis: To bold a word, surround it with asterisks, so *hello* will display hello. For underline use _ , so _hello_ gives hello. For italics use ^, so ^hello^ gives hello. To strike out a word, surround it with two hyphens either side, so --dog-- gives dog

Links and smileys: To insert a smiley face, , type [smile] or :)
For a big grin, , type [grin] or :o
For a wink, , type [wink]
For a shocked face, , type [shock]
For an angry face, , type [angry]

For a sad face, , type [sad] or :(
For an envious face, , type [envy]

Links The simplest way to insert a link is to enter the link itself, surrounded by [[ and ]]. So if you type [[www.mumsnet.com]], the link will display as http://www.mumsnet.com. If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
