Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

A positive story ( I hope!!!)

I've lurked around miscarriage having had 2 missed m/c, one just over a year ago at 11wks which ended in an emergency hospital visit,v.traumatic and then 3 mths later at 10 wks. I found this site a huge help but most of all I benefited from reading about people who had gone onto to have successful pregnancies. Well,I know it is early days yet and I don't want to upset anyone who is going through this awful process but I thought my story may give a little hope...
I have a ds (3.5) and had him with no problems. We always wanted another one and as I wasn't hugely ancient at 34 we started trying. I was abit less blase about the process as I'm a twin and my twin sister had sadly suffered 3 mc between her first and second sons so this did prey on my mind. Sadly I had my first mmc and then my Mum casually announced that she'd gone through the menopause at 39 and my Gran at 38 and I started to panic. As the average age of the menopause is 50ish 'did I have the eggs of a 45 year old?'. By the time I'd had my 2nd mc in June and my periods had stopped following a D&C I was convinced I was menopausal - sometimes there is just too much info on the net!! Well it took 6mths to conceive and then at 6wks I had crippling stomach cramps, so bad I took pain killers, hot water bottles and baths and phoned the doctor. I thought I was mc again but surprise, when scanned I was actually carrying natural triplets, of which two looked viable. At 7 wks we saw twin heartbeats (I had disappearing triplet syndrome where one is absorbed naturally), but then followed unexplained pain and spotting at 10wks, my heart sank. At 11 I was scanned again(they are really looking after me) and everything was fine and I've had a nuchal done today at 12wks 5 and everything fingers crossed seems ok. I thought that you might like to know how I've got on as I wondered how many people do get back to report that things seem ok. If it is any help I followed Zita West's advice and took vitamin CQ 10 and also B vitamins and evening primrose in the first part of my cycle which seemed to really regulate my scant and erratic periods!!I wish everyone on this site well and have found it a tremendous comfort over the past few months I 'll keep you posted.
