Hello Everyone!

Been gone so long, can't believe it. Just wanted to drop in and say Merry Christmas to everyone and have just spent a little while skipping through last few weeks. So I see Blue is PG, that's fantastic!

I am pretty much back to my old self - the pg hormones took so long to settle down but it was obvious to me whe they had.

Had great lunch with 3 of my good girlfriends 2 weeks ago but we all got horribly drunk and sadly that's when the emotions come to to the top so I ended up blubbing like a big girl, but they were fab. Have my work's Xmas do tomorrow up in London so must try not to drink too much (doesn't take much these days!).

Have had first AF since mc, very heavy and quite long but it's over and I'm grateful to finally move forward.

Off to DS's Christmas school play in a bit. Then we're off to Centre Parcs in Cumbria on Friday for 4 days - can't wait. Am horribly stressed with major busy work (main reason for absence from mn lately) and getting everything ready - including had DS's 6th birthday celebrations last weekend. Such a hectic time!

Well I hope everyone's well (and sorry to see new joiners but welcome...)

PS. Well done barbie -AGAIN- for starting another new thread!

Love
Jonesy

Hi girls, sorry for this repeat message, but put this on the old thread. Just wondered if anyone could help me? I found out at my 12 week scan that I'd had a missed miscarriage at 6/7 weeks. I'd had no bleeding or anything, so it was a real shock. My hubby and are are both devastated, as it was my first pregnancy, but trying to get back to normal I chose to have a ERPC, which went ok. But two days after the op, I started to have really severe pain, accompanied by bleeding. Scan showed that I have a blood clot, hence the pain, and they said it will pass. But it hasn't yet, and I'm worried that my cervix has closed up. Has anyone had similar experience? They say there is no infection - just the clot causing the pain, due to contractions.

Lippy - welcome and so sorry to read about your mc. I had one at 8 wks and passed it all naturally, scanned two days later with confirmation that everything had passed but two weeks later had two days of sweats, painful cramping and sore back followed by passing plum size clot that night. Bleeding disappeared after then and it was explained that although it was a clot it was just shreds of tissue that gathered together to pass and the cramping was my cervix reopening. Don't worry about your cervix 'closing' as it automaticaly reopens if anything needs to pass (and this is what is causing your pain so its doing its job of helping you expel remaining tissue).

Missed mc are just so cruel especially if you had no warning signs that anything was amiss . Hunker down with your DH and give yourself time xx

Lippy1 · 17/12/2008 17:20

Thanks Bluesatinsash. It was a bit of a shock, as I had no idea that anything was amiss, obviously. I feel better, and am back at work, although I'm still a bit emotional when I least expect it. I really wish you all the best too - have you got your periods back you? Are you trying again? Best wishes to you.x

Hi lippy, you are sounding very strong, hope being back at work is helping and your not pushing yourself too much. My period returned three weeks after mc and one week after the last clot was passed. (I'm actually 7 weeks pg having conceived on my 2nd post-mc cycle so there is hope although it is very early days...).

Jonesy - great to hear from you, you sound very busy! Enjoy your work night out and Center Parcs and Happy 6th birthday Jonsey's DS!

to everyone xx

Barbie well done for starting another thread. I agree, hope this one holds good news for us all..

Jonesy hi! Good to hear you're doing well. Have fun in my town tomorrow. What do you have planned? How was the school play?

4everhopeful hello to you too! Good luck on ttc! Have you joined any thread on the conception board? (cheeky plug for the thread i'm on..link here

Lippy hello, so sorry you had to join us. I had an mmc in Sept. Was 11 weeks pregnant, was due to have my first scan the week after. It was also my first pregnancy. I have been waiting 3 month before trying again. I had medical management as treatment. Hope the next few weeks and months are not too bad for you. Remember to be kind to yourself. The ladies on this thread are lovely and really help get through the dark times.

Have been thinking about my lost angel a lot today and how much i miss him/her. Hope things change for me real soon

Hi to blue and everyone else. Anyone else watchin the Royal Variety show on BBc1?

Hey Sabs, hello everyone. I'm back!!! Jetlagged and emotional but it's been lovely to catch up on all your posts . Hope your nan is doing better Sabs. You must be getting so excited about the holiday. Hopefully it will be the start of much happier times.

Thanks MM and Mollie for the advice on the consultants appointment. I'm hoping for the scan-free scenario but we'll just have to wait and see.

Hope 2ww is going well VM and VJ and no sign of AF for you. VJ how did the play go? Your ds is adorable.

Jools, sorry you have been having a rough time with DP. How are things now? btw I've had my first AF since my last miscarriage and it was pretty normal. Is it worth doing a test just to get it out of your mind?

It's lovely to see Jonesy and lionstar and 4ever back. And it's even nicer to see Barbie not posting so much as it means that after all that waiting, you finally get to spend quality time with DH Thanks for starting yet another thread.

Lippy, Gingermumi and Wannabe. I'm so sorry that this has happened to you too. Please post if you want to talk through anything. And make sure you pester the doctors if they are not giving you answers.

Big waves to my lovely neighbour Scamper, and to Daisysmummy and Blue

Hi Bluestatinsash - I am being strong - being back at work really helps as I'm a journalist so no time to dwell on anything. It's really hard, isn't it, but I think once I get my period back, and pass this clot then I'll feel better. So pleased about your pregnancy - let me know how you get on, I'm sending you lots of love and best wishes.xxx

Hi sabs we're going to Harrods to spend vouchers the company are giving us for Christmas (there's only 7 of us in the company!) and then to Maze, the Gordon Ramsay restaurant for dinner, do you know it?

Where are you from in London? It's my home town too, originally from Fulham.

School play was good but DS was right down other end of hall so could hardly see him, but he was grinning like a cheshire cat when he spotted me.

To all of you ttc, good luck, let's hope Blue's luck follows everyone! I am not ttc as still having some issues with relationshp with DP, so will wait til either things settle or not...

Off to more RL shortly so Merry Xmas to all and will pop back in over the festive season.

Hi ladies, Christmas is really taking over at the moment. I'm off down to Cheshire this weekend to see all my family and friends, I can't wait, especially to see my lovley sis.
DS's nativity was quite emotional, but only because it highlighted his autism, he sat at the edge of the choir in his school uniform, while everyone else was dressed up. But afterwards I realised it was very brave of him just to be there, so I am very proud of him.
Hope you are all ok, and are ready or nearly ready for Christmas.
Big waves and hugs to mm barbie vm blue sabs curly daisy lippy jonesy ginger mollie scamper lionstar 4ever wannabe, is that everybody? Sorry if I've missed anyone, but big waves and hugs to you too. I will log back in on Monday, when AF has either arrived, or not......

Vjay - lovely to read about your DS up there on the stage at his nativity, you're right to feel proud! Have a great weekend in Cheshire and I'll keep my fingers tightly crossed for Monday...

ginger - I went back early as being off was just prolonging my pain, I do believe it helped me get back to some sort of normality..

Lippy - thanks for your kind words. Hope your OK today, have you had any more cramping?

Hi and to everyone else. I finish up work tomorrow for a whole fortnight and C-A-N-N-O-T wait!

Hi girls - really nice to hear about lovely things such as the nativity,

Vjay - you're so right to feel proud, it's wonderful.

Me, I feel so much better today, without being too graphic I had really bad cramping yesterday, then passed the most almighty clot last night, and I feel so much better today - like a weight has been lifted. There's no dignity in all this, is there! But onwards, and upwards I say.

Ginger - I do feel that being back at work has helped me too, and once I get AF back, I hope that I'll even better. Love to all. xx

Oh ladies, so sorry to be absent for a while; ds had his last day of term this week and I'm now in full-time mum mode again... plus I'm as disorganised for Christmas as always! So lovely to see some familiar names back on here. Sending many hugs too to our new girls, gingermumi, wannabe and lippy. Lippy, really glad to hear that you've passed that clot; now you can move on and start to heal!

Well ladies, my AF was due around now and I've been feeling so queasy that I gave in and peed on a stick. I've just got a BFP.

I'm just hoping and hoping that this little bean is going to stick. This time we will go for an early scan at 7 weeks. We're not telling anyone in RL yet! I can't quite believe that I'm pg again but feel really positive about it. And I just can't thank you ALL enough for being there for me in the last three months - I really couldn't have made it without you! (Not that I'm going anywhere in a hurry!) So: much love and many, many hugs girls.

Hi ladies,

Been missing for a few days but I have been ill and in bed for the last few days but hopefully getting back to normal now.

Will catch up with you all soon but just had to say huge congratulations to vm on her BFP. I had a funny feeling you would get one this month after you were talking about early AF pains last week, I had the same before and then went on to have a BFP the following week. What a year 2009 is going to be. Oh how exciting!!!!!!!!! This feels like my first Christmas present I am grinning from ear to ear. So happy for you hun.

mm, thanks from the bottom of my heart; I'm a bit nervous but also strangely optimistic - I'm just determined not to expect the worst this time and to remember that this is a totally separate pregnancy... except that we definitely won't be letting ds and step dd know until the first trimester is over. Though I feel I'd cope with anything that might happen, I just couldn't stand the heartache for them again if this pg also ended in mc. Sorry to hear you've been poorly, hope you can put your feet up a bit before the festivites start next week! xx

Have been lurking when I've had chance, just to keep up with how you are all doing - VM am thrilled to hear about your BFP . I so hope that it all goes smoothly this time, and that your bean is a sticky one. What wonderful news

Hi to anyone else who remembers me - it's been a while since I posted... Lots of love to you all on this thread, and I'm wishing you as happy a Christmas as can be xxx

Wow Wow Wow FANTASTIC news VillageMum You give us all hope

Now who is next - Vjay ???

My light bleeding is now a bit heavier, so I'm now assuming it is AF and the sensitive nipples and dizziness / nausea are just my body playing cruel tricks

Maybe I'll get the first BFP of 2009

Report
bluesatinsash · 19/12/2008 15:23

VillageMum - fantastic, fantabulous news !!!!, I just had a sixth sense you would get a BFP, oh I've got a lump in my throat

Stay positive, its a brand new pregnancy, just take it one day at a time.

Do you squeeze into Aug 09? Would love to see you on the ante-natal (there are a fair few of us who have had previous mc's so lots of hand holding going on)..

Let the ttc and BFPs come rolling in for 2009 xx

Lippy - you will be releived passing the clot, it sounds v. similar to my experience and you do feel a weight has been lifted and you 'own' your body again x

mmulledwine · 19/12/2008 16:15

vm like you say this is a new pregnancy, totally separate and there is no reason for you not to believe in a positive outcome...............so make sure you don't. It a good idea not to let ds and step dd know yet, they would just get caught up in watching and worrying about you. Between fears and hormones you can be all over the place but don't lose sight that this is an exciting time and a new little life growing bigger every day. You are going to have a Merry Christmas enjoy it hun, you deserve it.

Big waves to everyone especially the newbies, sorry you had to join us, mbm good to see you again Need to go out for now but will catch up properly with you all later. mm xxx
