Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Did you always go to the hospital with your mcs?

I had an early mc about 3 weeks ago (at 6 weeks). Went to the EPU at the hospital and waited 5 hours to be told nothing much at all. They took a blood test and told me they weren't going to do a scan. I was supposed to go back for more blood tests but just couldn't face it (and I have a 3 yo and a bfing 8 mo at home, so don't exactly have 5 hours to spare!).

I never had any pain with the mc, stopped bleeding after a few days and last week I took a pregnancy test which was negative, so I'm assuming that everything was routine with no complications.

Trouble is, now every time I get a twinge (like a stitch, or just needing to go to the loo!) I get really paranoid and worry about ectopic pregnancies etc. Did anyone else go through their mcs with no medical intervention, and does it sound like mine really is over and done with?

Thank you

Sounds like it but your next period might be interesting. I do go each and every time because I've had two now and if you get three noted on your file you have a right to have it investigated if you need/want to.

Sorry for your loss btw, it's especially hard with little ones around when you have to keep going for them.

You should be fine.

You only need to go in if you are filling a pad in under an hour.

ibblewob- I'm sorry for your loss. This sounds exactly like the m/c I had in March, except I had no hospital, just at home, as my body seemed to take care of everything.
If this is the only m/c you have had, then you should be fine without needing a follow-up. If you have had a few though, it is best to have some follow-up, simply to find out what is causing them.

Hopefully your next period will be all normal, and timings will probably be close to your regular cycle too.

I'm 32 weeks pg now btw -conceived next cycle!
