For how long doesthe discharge/bleeding continue?

I started with discharge on 5th November at around 6/7 weeks, I had a scan on 12th November and another on 21st November. I am still having discharge and bleeding. I'm due back at the hospital for another scan on the 5th December to check that everything has gone.

How long does it all carry on for? And where on earth is it all coming from???

I take it you are miscarrying naturally (as opposed to ERPC) IME it has taken 3-4 weeks. Though horrific, I often feel it must be better to have a full and spontaneous m/c because at least it is over and done with and the woman can move on. Sorry for your loss

I tried reflexology after my last m/c and I believe it did help things along. I got my period exactly 4 weeks after my ERPC. I think the worse thing is that you can't use tampax so you feel so yucky and smelly (even though no one else can smell anything, but ykwim). How are you feeling today?

Oh yes, the smelly thing is getting to me. I've got over most of the upset, I'm just fed up with it all lasting so long.

Sorry but I don't know what a ERPC is?

Evacuation of retained products of conception. I tend to hang on to my miscarried babies so have had two surgical procedures to remove them. The other two were extremely slow, drawn out affairs that lasted about 4 weeks. So I know exactly how you feel.

Ah, yes, I was given three option, surgical, taking pills and 'naturally'. I really feel for you if you have gone through this more than once.

Thanks. I think I would opt for pills in future as I worry about scarring from surgery.
