Miscarriage/pregnancy loss

Feeling low

I lost my baby at 12+5, two and a half weeks ago. At my 12 week scan the nuchal measurement was 3.3 mm which gave us a 1:34 risk of downs. When I returned a week later at 13 weeks for Cvs the sonographer scanned me and there was no heartbeat. The baby died at 12+5. I was absolutely devastated. After 2 awful weeks I was just beginning to feel I had started to get my head round if but tonight I feel so low. . I know at 41 I'm unlikely to get another chance. My DH doesn't want to try again. I just feel like I won the lottery and someone has just ripped up the ticket in front of me. Will it ever get easier?

jester I'm so sorry you lost your baby. It does get easier, but it is a bereavement and it takes time to work through it. I found doing something to acknowledge/honour the loss was helpful - write a letter or poem, plant a tree, release a balloon, light a special candle, choose some memorial jewellery ....
I recently had my rainbow baby at just shy of 40 after 4 losses. recurrent MC affects less than 1% of couples so not to worry you about that, just to illustrate there is hope for everyone. Flowers
