Is this a period?

I found out at my scan 4 weeks ago that I had a missed miscarriage and so was given the tablets for medical management. After 3 weeks of bleeding on and off I took a pregnancy test like they told me to, which was positive.
I went in for another scan, which showed I hadn't fully miscarried and so had surgery that day. That was exactly one week ago and I bleed slightly for a day and then just light spotting. Yesterday I noticed that it was heavy again, a bit like a period.
I'm just wondering if this is likely to be my period as it is 4 weeks since miscarriage started, or still miscarriage as only a week since surgery?

I'm new to the whole MMC thing, but from what I've picked up I think something that soon after intervention would just be part of the same 'process'. I was told I'd be looking at a 3-6 week wait for a proper period. Have they give you a contact number you can try to seek advice...or can you ask your surgery to get a GP or midwife to call you back?

It has been more than 2 yrs since my mmc so I can't remember very well but I would agree with MrsR84 that it is too soon for a proper period.

Thanks. It's stopped now so I guess it was just part of the process. Hopefully this is the end of the constant reminder everytime you go to the loo!
