Spotting after MC

Hello. I feel like I'm going insane at the moment.

I just start to feel slightly normal and then I start spotting again. Is this normal for some people after a miscarriage? I feel so, so clueless and when I asked a GP I was told it is my body's way of getting back to normal. Is that right?

Some background... sorry for going on... I had a natural MC at the end of April at 10 wks. It took about 2 weeks for the bleeding to ease. 5 weeks after the MC I had pretty normal AF. Yay I thought! Time to move on. A week later after AF finished I started bleeding really heavily, sorry if TMI, but the blood and clots just seemed to never stop. It was like the MC all over again. Sad Saw a GP - not my usual one, and he said it was just my body readjusting and not to worry. I asked to be referred to gynae or EPU to check everything had gone as I've had no follow up except being told to POAS until negative, but he said no need. This will probably be it. That was 2 weeks ago and I've started spotting again.

I'm so scared it is going to get ridiculously heavy again. I realise I might be overreacting. I can't see how it could be AF again, but maybe it is. I was doing ok until the post AF bleed which involved a couple of really embarrassing moments involving a friend's carpet and the doctor's surgery floor and couch - which I have flashbacks to.

If it gets stupidly heavy and really worrying, does anyone have any advice about what I should be saying, asking for or demanding from my GP? You have to be referred to EPU in our area. He wouldn't do it last time and I pleaded so I guess I'm pre-emptively worrying they will say no again. It is 8 weeks now since I originally MC. Thank you for reading and sorry for the long, long post.

Sorry to hear what you're going through and for your loss.

Try not to panic. It is quite normal to spot and to have irregular AF, I suspect you'll be ok. However if things get heavier time I would insist on a referral to EPU for a scan just to make sure it's all passed.

Know this is a hard time. Feel free to PM me if you want to chat.

Hugs to you xxx

Thank you Catlover and thanks for the response. Just don't know if I'm coming or going right now. And my body isn't helping. So frigging fed up. Grr! Being tired when you're struggling never helps and I think that's where I am. Big sleeps required this weekend!
