I have recently had post mortem results back after my 4th mmc, all of which have been around or beyond 12 weeks.
The results showed a baby that was developing normally, no abnormalities etc...and a healthy placenta. However it stated that the cord was hyper coiled, and that this most likely caused the baby to die.
This was also the only thing that showed up in tests after my 3rd mmc.
The consultant said that it was very unusual and that she had never before seen it happen twice to anyone.
There doesn't seem to be any raeson for this to happen, or anything that can be done to avoid it. Just wondering if anyone has any experience of this?
The results also showed that my baby was a little boy.
