Can HRT lower FSH and LH levels ?

I'm 39 and was diagnosed as being perimenopausal 2 years ago. My high FSH and LH hormones indicated menopause.
Iv'e been trying to get pregnant since just before i was diagnosed so it's been a very upsetting 2 years. I realise now it's very unlikely i will ever get pregnant.
So iv'e been on HRT for 4 months now and last week i took an ovulation test. Can you ovulate while on HRT ?
Anyway, my test came up positive, as if i was ovulating or about too. Ovulation tests detect LH hormone. I must still have high levels of LH in my blood, although i thought HRT lowered them.
Still hoping like crazy for a baby.
Anyone have any answers please ?

HRT won't do anything except replace lost oestrogen- it won't trigger ovulation. Why don't you book an appt with your dr and discuss all these things? You seem a bit reluctant to pursue medical support...

Yes, you most definitely can ovulate whilst on HRT....I did, and I have my lovely son to show for it!

Hello there, can I ask if you had any success? And what was your fsh level? My partner has just received an fsh reading of 25. She’s 36. We are hoping so much to have a baby. And now looking at all the ways we can improve the health of her ovaries and get her hormones balanced.
