I'm moving to Sheen and seem to remember Willow2, Bettys, Binker and ks were all up for a night out. I move on 4 August, so sometime in mid/late August or September would be good. I'd love to meet some mums in the area.

Sorry, someone came and asked me to do some work (how dare they?). A meet-up would be good, there are some others who come to the SW meet-ups who might be around too. Sofia, clucks, bossykate, Fionn - anyone else around?

Anyone know somewhere nice to eat in Sheen? I live in Putney at the mo but don't ever go to Sheen to eat.

OK - Sheen has a couple of possibilities. Tapestry - which we've been to before - gastro-type pub; very nice, cheap Lebanese; very nice, cheap Chinese (neither of which are high on ambience but figure we can bring our own); The Victoria - good gastro pub, middle priced, bit of a bugger to get to as up near the park (next to Sheen Mount school SamboM) and the rather lovely but equally pricey Ulliveto (Italian) - and couple of good curry houses too.

August is good for me (as is most of July!) - am away second week September. (Did I mention I won a holiday....)

Again? You just went on one that you won didn't you? I want to win one. Sob.

I like the Victoria and is v baby friendly (not that I'm suggesting babies come for dinner of course). As you say a bit out of the way. What is Tapestry like and where is it?

Went to a fab place in Putney last night. Used to be a dumpy pub, The Jolly Gardners in Lacy Road, but they have done it up really nicely, not just a boring all bar one clone. Food looked good too.

I can't do July as am going on holiday (paid for pls note )

No, paid for that holiday - already booked and sorted when I found out I'd won another. How flash is that? Tapestry is just over the railway crossing, past Mortlake Green as if you are driving back to the A316. Not a long walk for you from new home.

Oh yeah, I know where you mean. Good food?

I'm up for it. I'm back from holiday on aug 9. so anytime after that would be ok with me. I enjoyed tapestry, but would be up for something new too. Smoke-free would be awesome, or at least a non-smoking section. (Can't wait til they ban smoking in public places, so I don't get an asthma attack every time I go out to dinner).

I'm new to Mumsnet (and this whole parenting lark!) but would love to meet other Mums in the area - I'm in Wandsworth, and being the mum of a 12 week old, would love a night out!!

OK, so when and where?

Do we want a Friday or Saturday night? Or could do lunch I guess.

Anyone got any suggestions for a restaurant? I know loads in Putney but would like to check out new manor so Sheen or Richmond would be pref for me.

Hi LucieB, I'm in Putney at the moment too.

Do any of the dates suit you? Looking like 23rd August would be best at the moment.

The end of August and beginning two weeks of Sept aren't any good for me. Don't worry - there will hopefully be another meet up in the future which I will be able to attend. Working full time in the City with a 10 month old means that life is very hectic. Nice to see that there are a lot of mumsnetters in the Putney/Wandsworth area!

Thanks Willow2

Would end of September be better, it probably would for me actually as August will be pretty hectic.

Can anyone not do 27th Sept?

LucieB, my dd is 10 months as well, surprised I didn't bump into you at post natal thingy.

can't see any reason why couldn't do 27th - but can't think that far ahead to be honest.
