Thought I'd take the bold step of starting a new thread as the otherone was getting a bit long.

So lets start again - who can make the Saturday 28th June for the second lunchtime Liverpool meet up?

I'm happy to book table etc this time to relieve eyelash of the burden.

Just back from weekend in Skipton. Very good and they even had a Thomas event at the local steam railway so ds1 absolutely delighted - they even had a real live fat "Fat controller".

I am def up for the 28th of June as well.

AliP - how are you feeling?

Moomicat · 26/05/2003 22:57

Hey eyelash

What is it about Skipton - SOOOOOO many people I know have been there recently, is there lots to do and see with a young family???

Cheers

Eyelash - I'm fine - still holding on (although beginning to want to go asap!) I know i should treasure this time alone but i am so b*** uncomfortable that shopping etc are not really fun!

glad to hear that you had a good weekend - i have asked for them to give you my e-mail address and hopefully this will work - we are experiencing some problems with our e-mail at teh moment so be patient!

Moomicat - looking forward to meeting you - love the nickname.

Moomicat - Skipton is a lovely place and it has some amazing countryside. Great walks, villages, etc as well. We managed to get there and back in under one and a half hours from Liverpool but it's a different world (M58 such a good motorway). I would def go there again.

AliP - I've not had your e-mail address yet but if it doesn't arrive by tomorrow we can arrange an alternative using this message board. I will also ask tec to send my address to you just in case.

Hi All
I'm doing OK - still hanging in there but getting v. frustrated!

I'm still planning to join the meet up on 28th although it will depend on how far over they let me go (if required!)

Leander - does weekend away mean things are getting better?

I think both Eyelash and Woozle are away so may be why its a bit quieter than normal on here!

look forward to seeing you all

I'm still up for the 28th dependent on eventual arrival date!!

AliP - Ireland was brilliant although it rained every day. DS1 enjoyed the tractors and my brother took him out in his lorry as well. We had a fantastic time and are now talking about the possibility of a holiday home in a few years time.

As before I can make the 28th so see you all then.

Let me know if ever you decide to meet in Manchester. I don't know Liverpool at all so will give this meet a miss.

Report
eyelash · 19/06/2003 10:22

Rhubard

The trains are pretty good from Manchester - but another option would be for you to post for a separate Manchester meet-up. I seem to remember that there were quite a few replies to the initial Northwest meet-up from mums in that general direction. If we got a Liverpool and Manchester meet-up going there could even be some overlap of mums.
