I just started low carving yesterday ... Yesterday was a basically not eating any carbs and reading up on here ..

Today however . I started 'proper'

So.. For breakfast I had 3 slices bacon ,mushrooms and 1 egg scrambled .. All cooked in butter

3 cups of coffee with cream

A'lettuce' sandwich filled with 2 baby plum tomatoes , 4 slices wafer thin chicken , basil, shredded spinach and a quater of a mozzarella

1.5litres of water

I can zero cherry coke

10 pistachio nuts

Bowl of cauliflower rice cooked in butter and topped with Parmesan and black pepper

A pepperami and a cheese string

Is it too much??

I was gonna have 1 more coffee tonite and 1 square 85%chocolate

I have nearly 3stones to lose ..

Volume wise, it is more than I could fit, but I am tiny (truly hobbit like) so don't mind me.
I'd lose the diet drinks - they are the work of the devil. I don't know why, they just are.
I couldn't eat 3 slices of bacon in one go, but regularly have that breakfast you describe, but with one slice of bacon.
I had today - 2 x coffees with full fat milk.
hot chicken soup for lunch
stir fry salmon for dinner, with small portion of rice (i've reached goal weight so am easing up a bit).
Had a plum also.
One glass of wine.
2 litres of water.

Cut out the demon soft drinks. Work of the devil. Eat some more fruit but low gi like apples and berries. Put some healthy fats in so cook your breakfast in olive oil rather than butter (the oil is more stable at higher temps) and drizzle some over your "sandwich" . I would also bulk up on some raw veg throughout the day and cut down on the coffee. The caffeine will mess with your endocrine system.

ShockShock Really ?

I just had to have some more chicken and egg mayo ( mayo homemade) cos I was hungry .. Drank another (nearly) little of water to stave off pangs .. But nope .. Actually I wanted a biscuit or cake or the flippin Doritos that ds just opened ...

Do u think the volume is too much then .. I'm only short 5ft4 but 11 stone 9.5 ShockShockShock

I hate how I look .... I am creeping into a size 16

You are doing fantastic, and you are thinking about what you are putting into your mouth/stomach, which is a huge thing! Well done.
Carb cravings will ease off after a week or so, but there are other more experienced low carbers than me who may advise.
I'm 5'3 and I hate how little it takes for me to gain weight - I always think if I was 5'10 this wouldn't be an issue! But then there'd be other issues i suppose.
We are what we are.
If it's any help, I fell into this way of eating after dc3, who is ill, and i was so worried about him I forgot to eat (that's not an exaggeration). So distraction is good, if you can find some! Maybe not as extreme as mine though. Smile

I've no idea about the carb thing but at 5 ft 4 and 11 st 9, you don't ' have ' to lose three stone!! I'm a touch under 5 ft 4 and I weigh 9 and a half stone. I'm a size 8/10 and would look too thin with another stone off.

So you might want to lose three stone but maybe consider that you don't need to?

That is good point - don't focus on "3 stone" - think about maybe half a stone? then when that goes, which it will, think about the next half stone.

Thanks dontlaugh I am trying to do it properly .. But tonite . Have to admit my head is wanting a biscuit ,chocolate whatever SmileSmileSmile so had more water and now catching up on box sets in bed SmileSmile

I know I don't 'need' to lose 3 stones .. But I would like to get back to my 9stones I was when I moved here 2 years ago ... We went away at the weekend and in every shop window I caught sight of myself .. I just looked pregnant ... And when I left the hotel in the morning I felt 'nice' long maxi skirt layered vests .. Thought I looked the bizSmileSmileSmile then when I saw the photos later .. Hence the dietConfused

One day at a time.
Don't focus on the looks.
Focus on the food.
You WILL get there.

Doing better today I think .. Although today has been the day that I really want chocolate cake..

So... Mushrooms with cheese and a spoon of cream stirred thru for breakfast

Handful of pistachios

1 apple

1.5 liters of water

I coffee with cream

Stir fry with chicken for tea

And have just made for tomorrow .. Broccoli and Stilton soup

Some Parmesan shortbread (cooking as I type)

And then have adapted shortbread recipe and put sweetner in .. To see if I can make sweet shortbread .. Which if it works I will half dip in melted 85%choc ...

Watch the flour in the shortbread Tutti. If you think about it bread is a carb...and flour makes up most of it...

And I agree with the others, don't focus on the big picture of losing three stone. Celebrate with something non foodie every few pounds off. I love old films, especially the Katharine Hepburn ones so I get one down loaded on the TV every four pounds I lose. I decided on four as I am likely to lose that a lot faster than half a stone so I have a treat more often! It keeps me going and I am a stone down now (5'2" And was 11 stone)

I made the shortbread using recipe off boot camp recipes .. Ground almonds , butter and egg ..

I am taking a day at a time .. And to be honest would be really happy to just fit in my clothes comfortably ... I really don't want to go up another size ..

But .. Good news .. I have lost inches all over .. And 6lbs so far ... So for me SmileSmileSmileSmileSmile
