Can someone give me some ideas of your typical day low carbing?
Thinking of trying low carbs while calorie counting, is this what people do?

I don't think you need to calorie count when low carbing. I don't anyway. Eat when you are hungry and stop once you're full.

My typical day is

B- full fat yoghurt with berries or scrambled eggs with mushrooms and spinach

L- salad with fatty dressing like Mayo or olive oil and chicken or tuna ect

D- chicken/beef/pork ect with roasted veg or omelette with veg and salad or stir fry with a creamy Sauce.

I use Myfitnesspal to track my carbs and it won't let me turn off the calorie option. I find my cals go up and down depending on what I am doing, what the previous day was like etc.

However, I have found that my cals are quite low and I am satisfied. Sometimes I only eat 1200 a day, if that.

I only eat twice a day as i am using intermittent fasting as well (fast from dinner time until lunch time the next day)

But typically it will be

Cup of tea and water

an almond milk shake made with ice coffee, sweetener, cocoa powder and topped with lots of whipped cream - 4 carbs
Flaxseed bread - 2 carbs
peanut butter - 1 carb

Meat and veg/salad dinner with as much fat as possible - 10 carbs
Greek yoghurt - 4 carbs

More tea

Sometimes I might add some low carb or no carb snacks like meat or cheese. but I am trying to only peak my insulin levels twice a day.

This menu is around 1200 cals. Sometimes more if I shoehorn in extra fat.

Lost about 4 pounds in 4 days doing this - but of course it will settle at about 2-3 pounds a week I expect.

Not hungry one little bit, except in the late mornings - but nothing I can't handle.
