Heya

Started low carbing yesterday using cambridge products to 810 plus a bigger high protein meal (total 1200 cal per day)

Anyone else done similar?

15.8 so got nearly 5st to lose to pre pregnancy weight.

Underactive thyroid went berserk when baby 6wo and piled on 1.6st in 10 days that's why I'm so big Shock

Anyone else low carbing and bf? Grin

I think you need to be careful about going into ketosis don't you? And it can impact milk supply: kellymom.com/nutrition/mothers-diet/mom-lowcarb/

Low carb works for me. Have a 2 week old ebf so not even thinking of losing weight yet, but in a few months I'll be thinking of it. Will probably just slowly ease into low carb, and still do things like eat oats and brown rice to keep some balance.

I keep thinking about it. My ebf DS is nearly 4 months. I'm back to pre pregnancy weight but would like to lose a stone.

I'm thinking of doing as evertonmint suggests for the next two months until weaning starts. I think I night just try cutting the traditional carbs of bread, biscuits, crisps, pasta, rice and potatoes.

Thanks for the advice.

I won't be in ketosis on this many calories though will I? I've done pure 810 cambridge before when 6m baby bf and weaning and wasn't in ketosis then and didn't effect milk supply

I'm hoping 1200/1300 is enough to maintain ebf and lose weight

My DS is 4 months and EBF and so far no problems. But I'm not super strict about it and did ease into it by just cutting down on carbs.

I would see how you feel while doing it and keep an eye on supply and your little one. But I think it should be ok.
