Just that really. Have done it before but a while ago, it really worked. Would like to lose half to one stone. Have got my Greek yogurt and eggs ready! Also to drink loads of water. Remind me what days the god awful headaches kick in?!

Me too (well theoretically tomorrow really but it depends where we end up for Father's Day lunch) so we have a little team of restarters/starters!

Avoid carbs? Not helpful!

Geek yogurt for breakfast, eggs for lunch, normal dinner, almost, with salad instead of the carb element and lots of fat, dressing, think avocado is ok on the salad front.

Deli meat for snacks.

Gallons of water and you shouldn't feel too bad, good luck.

When switching to low carb you need to raise your fat intake.
Long term low carb makes your body adjust to its intake and fat loss will then plateau so you will need to refuel your body with them at intervals... i.e.. once a month, once a fortnight, once a week (the refuels become more frequent the leaner you become)

Anyone else joining us?

Me!!! I know it is how I feel best, both mentally and physically, and I have been toying with getting back on it for weeks but just never quite get there!!

We are going on holiday in 2 weeks (only UK but still want to feel good) and I know I won't lose a lot in that time but I know I would feel LOADS better if I could do two straight weeks before we go and then maybe mostly keep it up while we are away.

I have a fridge full of meat, yoghurt and salad and plenty of eggs so just need to do it now!!

Can I join in too please? 10 lbs have sneaked (no idea how Wink) on over the past 6 months and I have no summer clothes that fit. I don't want to buy new ones!

I've been following these low carb threads for a couple of weeks. I joined mumsnet just now so I can join in with your low-carbing! I started 6 days ago and have really enjoyed what I've eaten. Awful headache yesterday but other than that, all good.

I guess I am doing more Primal than strict low carb so will probably have coffee with cream and Greek yog and blueberries for breakfast, maybe just some cold meat, cheese & mayo for lunch then a chicken caesar salad for tea...and lots of water!! Going to attempt to get up at 6.30 for bodypump too...start the way I mean to go on and all that!

I tried this bread recipe today. Ingredients are quite pricey but it looks like bread, toasts like bread and if you put butter on it almost tastes like bread.

Day 1 nearly done! Scrambled eggs and full fat yogurt for breakfast, chicken, broccoli, carrots and cesear dressing for lunch and quorn fillet with salad for dinner. I assume quorn is ok, do I need to check? Lots of water (and loo breaks!)

Inspired by this thread I started locarbing halfway through yesterday...I could have waited until this morning but I'm impatient Grin

That bread looks great, will have to give it a go.

I feel like I've eaten a lot today. I've been keeping track on mfp and it's looking like 1500cals, which is more than I was aiming for when I wasn't actually losing weight. I'm trying for bootcamp lite style rather than full on bc because I don't fancy carb flu, but my net carbs for today are only around 40...so we'll see!

I'm here! Did ok yesterday...was at work and find it easier to drink plenty water there so must have had at least three litres. Food-wise I had...

B- Coffee with double cream & greek yog & a few brambles
L- leerdamer slices, salami, prosciutto & mayo
S- Nakd bar
T- 3 eggs scrambled with mushrooms in butter and grated cheddar

Need more veg but I also desperately need to not eat wheat so as long as I achieve that at the moment, I am happy. Went for a massage after work and got home just in time to do bedtime but hadn't eaten...was very tempted to just grab oatcakes and houmous but made myself make the eggs and really enjoyed them and probably felt better than if is had the oatcakes...I will take the small victories!!

Today, I haven't had as much water (I will work on that) but otherwise it has been ok...

B- coffee & cream and 2 slices leerdamer with salami/prosciutto & jalapenos
L- chicken, bacon & avocado caesar salad
T- ribeye steak, with garlic butter, mixed green veg and a few baby roast potatoes (I am not trying to be super low carb just lower and no grains apart from occasional rice...I seem to do well like that).

Looking forward to hearing how others are doing...

I've been ravenous today. I'm actually a little ashamed at my food intake, but felt dreadful if I tried to struggle on hungry. I really hope my appetite calms the jeff down.

I've had:
B: scrambled eggs with bockwurst and tomatoes (no bockwurst once this lot is gone. In fact I'm quite tempted to bin the rest), black coffee

L: salad of tuna and things chopped up really tiny - green pepper, radishes, cucumber, celery, bit of olive oil and mayo on top

D: roast pork shoulder with crackling, swede mash and buttered greens.

Snacks have been greek yoghurt, berries, celery with almond butter, ham and a tiny nibble of cheese. I've just realised that AF is due but I feel like a pig nonetheless.

Meant to also say, I went for a run this evening and felt a bit meh most of the way. Have felt quite tired and shitty most of the day so I've taken the 'if you're hungry, eat' message to heart.
