Low-carb diets

Is there any point?

If you're not a fan of most meats (apart from chicken and fish), not keen on eggs, are lactose intolerant, likes leafy greens but also likes all other veg, doesn't mind nuts, but not a favourite (same applies to avocados.... Don't mind them, don't love them).. Is there any point even attempting low carb?

I think low GI much better and sustainable and tastier than low carb

I think it can work eating any amount of carbs and from whatever source, you like as long as you are burning more than you are consuming. The tricky bit is working out how many carbs you need to drop overall to lose weigh gradually.

Hi ice, lc works for me precisely BECAUSE I am not a great meat eater. I have greek yog for breakfast with a few berries, I eat a green salad for lunch with feta and ham/chicken/tuna.... and then come dinner time when faced with a plate of meat with no lovely redeeming carbohydrates my appetite just wilts and I manage a few mouthfuls. And eating breakfast and lunch with not much dinner is a good way to lose weight.

I've been on this for 2 weeks and have lost 7lbs and have NO APPETITE. Because of the fat content and not much carbohydate I suppose I feel full and because I don't like the things I am allowed to eat in abundance, I don't eat.

I know it seems counterintuitive but it works.

Not enjoying it much but hey... Wink
