Questions on bullet proof coffee

Please could you tell me if bullet proof coffee should be a meal replacement or can I have several a day?. I was wondering if it would be too many calories if I drank every cup this way?

Also I am following the Harcombe diet and that is supposed to be caffine free. so is it less of an energy kick and therefore a bit pointless?

Watching with interest as I have at least 3 a day!!

I am of the opinion that it's the fat that keeps you satisfied, not the caffeine so I'm pretty confident that a decaf version would work.

Let's hope someone more informed comes along soon Grin

No! It isn't a meal replacement at all. And if you're following a low carb diet, you should be eating proper food at mealtimes, not relying on coffee.

Thanks both. What are your recipes? Do you use MCT oil? I currently use a teaspoon of coconut oil and one of unsalted grass fed butter?

I use Kerrygold butter, Lucy Bee extra virgin coconut oil (from Sainsbury's) and cheapo Aldi instant coffee. A heaped teaspoon of all.

I get not using it as a meal replacement BIWI as you could easily exist on these Grin but what is the low carb thinking on intermittent fasting? If I am busy I can have a BPC for breakfast and not worry about eating for hours. And on the paleo/primal sites I look at they encourage skipping meals every now and again.
