I'm shocked - Bullet Proof Coffee is actually lovely!

I have been drinking waaaaaay too many coffees with cream so decided to give BPC a go. If you don't know what it is, it's coffee with a tsp of butter and a tsp of coconut oil whisked together. Sounds gross, right? I made the 1st one expecting to be disgusted and had visions of having to acquire the taste over the weeks. But no. It's bloody lovely. And I've only got cheapo Aldi instant coffee. They keep you going for hours too. Only problem is I now drink waaaaaaaaay too many BPCs!!!

It really does sound hideous, but I'll take your word for it that it's actually nice. I won't be trying it though as I like my coffee black.

DH and I love these (although we call them Kevlar Coffees as we can never remember if they're bullet or bomb proof).

I use a stick blender to get a nice froth on it - a small whisk doesn't seem to be able to mix as well.

Am interested to hear if anyone has any variations.

So delicious. Remember butter is just cream churned!! So it's like adding double cream to your coffee.
My favourite mix is coconut oil, butter, dash of vanilla essence, cocoa powder. If I'm feeling extra crazy I'll add a meted square of dark choc too.

I've bought sugar free syrups in the past but they're usually so expensive. Birthday coming up so I may ask for a selection!! I miss my Starbucks hazelnut lattes lol

It is delicious, amazingly! Like the mooncup - the idea sounds disgusting, but if you're brave enough to try, you're a convert.

For the first couple of weeks I thought it was OK-ish, then I realised that unsalted butter might be better than salted Easter Blush. No salt makes all the difference!

just started low-carbing this week:)

why is having butter in your coffee better than milk/cream please?

I have been having an oxo cube in hot water to replace some of my cuppas!

I think it's because butter is the lowest carb/less sugary than milk or cream.
