I am addicted to sugar. I have always managed my weight through exercise but since having post viral fatigue last year I can't do anything. I am hoping going sugar free will help me loose weight and aid my recovery.

I am on day five but not going hard core - still eating carrots and parsnips, will eat sweet potato and potato although have cut back.

Questions so far:

Am I going to ruin by still eating those veggies?
I am so thirsty! Is this normal? Drinking lots of water and herbal teas but it doesn't go away.
I used to drink barley cup as I can't drink coffee but it is really carby, I drink green tea but would love something a bit thicker, am struck for ideas.
I feel kind of sick about an hour after I eat.
I still really want chocolate, how long does that last?

If you're still eating all those vegetables then you're not really low carbing - they will add up pretty quickly.

If you're drinking lots of water and still feeling thirsty, this indicates that you need more salt. You should be keeping your electrolytes up by eating plenty of sodium, magnesium and potassium - so, salt in your cooking and on your food, eat things like salmon, spinach, avocado and full fat natural yoghurt

I have avoided potato but have had the other three. I do not eat meat, although I do eat fish. I am finding it hard to find things to eat though. Just lots of eggs.
