Can I lose 2 stone in 13 weeks?

I have my nieces wedding at the beginning of May and would love to lose 2 stone by then. I am 5'2" and have done 10 days low carbing and have lost 7lbs so far. Which means I now weigh 12.7 which is not ideal, but it's a great start. I have a sedentary office job , but i would be lying if I said I intend to excercise to lose the weight, but realise the time factor means I may have too! Please give advice espcecially if you've managed to lose weight in that amount of time. Thanks in advance.

I lost two stones Jan-May last yr so it is possible. I'm 5' 4" and weighed 13st at the start so v similar to you.

I used MFP, I was very very strict about recording everything. I weighed out portions, I looked up menus online before eating out, I was completely devoted to it. And having tried and failed lots before I knew I'd need to be.

Don't kid yourself that going for a walk will let you eat chocolate at will. It is all about diet in my experience.

I have no real experience of low carbing other than obviously cutting down on everything but if that's what works for you then stick with it.

Repeat the mantra "losing weight is hard, being fat is hard. Choose your hard" cheesy but true!

Good luck!

And I did no extra exercise at all although I do a bit of walking as I'm a sahm with 3 children. But no extra walking than before I lost the weight.

Wow ready, that's so good. Are you low carbin as well or trying something else? I need to lose 2lbs a week to get near my goal. I will still be overweight, but hopefully will look a lot better than I do now.... I hate seeing myself in pics, so just the trout of that is motivation enough. Good luck on your journey Ready and thanks for the encouragement.

I'm doing 5:2 on top of low carbs. I've found it really easy to be honest.
I'm also going to Zumba twice a week and seeing a personal trainer.
I'm getting married in November and really don't want to be a fat bride. Just under 14 stone now and would love to be around 10 by then.
Use myfitnesspal to track what your eating I've found it really helpful and don't be too hard on yourself if you slip up.
Good luck to you too! Smile

I'm 5ft4. I've lost 3 stone so far, the first 2 took 13 weeks. However, you've already lost the 'water weight' so to compare it took me 18 weeks to lose 2.5 stone. That was on SW red days though (not as low carb as bootcamp) so you could definitely speed that up.

Good luck :)

I have just read your post Fourarms, and I would be over the moon if I could do what you've done. Do you mind me asking........how different do you feel and look? Sorry I know that's personal, but I am hoping to look a better, not just a bit slimmer.

We are the same height and I started at 12 stone 10 and lost four stone (although some has crept back on which I'm dealing with) as to how does it feel? It feels like I am the person I am supposed to be. I don't get panicky everytime anything to do with fitness/weight is mentioned. I don't worry what people think of me anymore. It's the best thing I had ever done for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm not skinny and I'm not beautiful but I am happy with my appearance for the fist time in my life. I am nearly forty.

It took about 18 months. It wasn't low carbing I calorie counted using MFP. Also took up running and Zumba.
