I've been doing this LC fairly religiously for a couple of weeks, have been in ketosis (checked with sticks) i haven't seen loss & think I might've put on. Although had a couple of naughty moments they were just that & in ketosis next day (in 14 days one night a mulled wine, another night 1 cadburys heroes).
What am I doing wrong? Can you have too much cream? I've had it in my coffees but just trying to think. Am I just wring for this?
Thanks

Can you tell us what a typical day's eating would be?

B fried courgettes, mushrooms, bacon, 2 eggs made into omelette with bit of cheese on top to then grill to make frittata kind of thing
L. Eggs in a cup
T. Gammon, cauli & cabbage, green beans
S. 2 tblp Greek yoghurt with double cream mixed in
Drinks. Weak coffee with double cream to taste
I admit to not drinking lots of water, but have upped it since starting diet

I'm not saying I've been in ketosis for 14 days, took me 4 days when I started, was in for about 3 days then had after that a couple of days that included treats, then went back in ketosis within about 24/36 hrs.

A further issue is my stupid scales, I need to bring them downstairs to use cos they're on tiles in bathroom & can alter by half a stone depending on where u place them in bathroom
Just grateful for your experiences

Hopefully by now you will have lost some weight - I've only just seen this! Grin

But some questions/thoughts:

  • how much do you have to lose? If it's not much, then weight loss will be slow
  • your scales don't sound like they're very accurate, so it will be impossible to say if you're losing or not. Have you measured yourself? This will be much more accurate.
  • you are eating a lot of dairy - this can impede weight loss for some people
  • the water is really important, so hopefully you have managed to up that
  • cheating will not help!
