Wanting to start LC: help please!

I have recently lost two stone on weight watchers and have around 10lbs left to go. I am really struggling to lose this and having tried low carbing in the past would like to give it another go. Can anyone point me in the direction of the rules? Ie can I drink alcohol? coffee? fruit?

Thanks!

check out the blue original post on BIWIs boot camp threads they should have some useful links.

Popular books seem to be Gary taubes (not read myself) Nerris and indias idiot prrof diet (quite fun) and john Briffa - escape the diet trap (I like this - quite health focused)

Some alcoholic drinks are better than others. Often low carb diets have an attack phase of 5 days to 2 weeks where you would have no booze, fruit or starchy (orange) veg but after that period these can be introduced in moderation.

Caffeine - some low carb diets instruct having decaff but this will add caffeine withdrawl to the mix so maybe include normal coffee but in reduced quantities and have it black or with cream instead of milk.

Most common advice on these threads is to eat lots of good fats and to eat protein whenever hungry at first.

Good luck!

Thank you! I drink my coffee black anyway but do love a glass (or two ) of wine. Will take a look at bootcamp threads and thanks for the advice!
