Hi Suzanne, just away to post about this too. I lost 10lbs in 10 days a few years ago. My advice would be to exercise loads too and don't cheat at all. It's not worth it. I learned that the hard way!!

Thanks fackinell.
What sort of diet did you have to lose the weight??
I like big portions........

Just lean protein, 2 cups of low carb veg or salad a day and snacks.
Typically bacon and eggs for breakfast, chicken and avocado salad at lunch, salmon and prawns in garlic butter sauce with green beans and broccoli for tea. I drink green tea and flavoured fizzy water (I cheat and have vodka at the wknd Grin) I snack on cheese, ham slices (Brie baked in Parma ham is lush!) and Atkins chic bars (£1.50 though Shock) have a look at my thread on low carb snacks too. Others have made great suggestions. I tried pork scratchings but they're pretty minging.

I make a good lasagna replacing pasta for thick cheese slices too. It's fab!!

Oh god I love cheese and Parma ham. I just wonder would it slow the weight loss. Lasagne sounds gorgeous..... Do you have a recipe please. I had a nice recipe for baking slices of salami in the oven topped with fresh pecorino/ Parmesan. Great snack

The lasagne recipe is:
1lb lean mince
2-3 Cloves garlic
Italian seasoning
I jar passata
Chilli flakes (optional, I like a kick)
Emmentel or cheddar slices in place of pasta
Cheese sauce made by melting cheese into 1pt of double cream.

Brown the mince, add the herbs and garlic, once mince is brown add the passata and cook for 20mins. Do one layer of mince then a layer of cheese slices, another of mince and top with the cheese sauce, bake in oven for 30-40 mins in a medium-high heat oven, about 160/180 degrees.

Yes please to your recipe. The Parma ham and cheese is fine on Atkins. I avoid wine as it has loads of sugar but I'm very strict.

Lost 4lbs in 3 days!!!! Grin

Thanks a mill for that. Going to make it tomorrow, it sounds delicious.
The salami is easy, just pop a sheet of grease proof paper on a baking tray. Place salami slices on it and make sure that they don't overlap. Grate fresh pecorino or Parmesan cheese on top and bake in moderately hot oven for about 10 minutes. Salami should be nicely crisp and cheese melted........ Yum

Sound lovely Suzan, may try it as my X Factor snack for tonight. Had the lasagne last night and it was lush. I had a few vods last night but have still lost 3/4 of a lb. kids party today, avoiding the cake and crisps will be tough. Grin

Let me know how your lasagne goes.
