Can you tell me how much you've lost?

What do your meals look like?

Breakfast?
Lunch?
Dinner?
Snacks?

I am considering doing it, I am 13 stone and getting bigger due to a sugar addiction Sad

Hello Smile

I'm only 2 weeks in. I've lost 8lb and gone down a hole on my belt.

Started at 12 stone 7.

Mostly eat breakfast/ lunch in one meal around midday - usually a frittata, or omelette. Sometimes raw veg (asparagus, broccoli etc) and ham/ philly wraps with guacamole.

Dinners have been a revelation, I'm really enjoying cooking! The best things have been fried aubergine slices topped with cheese and slow cooked spicy beef strips with salad. Also loving celeriac wedges/ mash and cauliflower rice.

Occasional snacks are e.g. one square of 85% choc with peanut butter.

I've managed under 20g of carbs for 12 of the 14 days so far, the other two days were around 24.

I've stopped snacking. I'm literally never hungry. I have to talk myself into eating! Had an almond milk/ FF yoghurt/ peanut butter smoothie this morning as I wasn't hungry.

I think it's sustainable, I've ditched wheat/ sugar/ grains entirely and my asthma has improved immensely. In a few weeks I'm going to gradually phase out all the cheese as well, but am going to keep eating FF yoghurt as it's lovely.

The main unbelievable thing is that I do not miss the sugar. But I also have a strong feeling that one slip would be a big problem - I am addicted to sugar, I know that now.

Good luck!

Wow!! That's great. To have such a great improvement in such a short space of time.

For it to work for me I need to plan properly. To stop me grabbing carby snacks.

You definitely do, it's really hard to grab something decent to eat when out and about, so it would be easy to fall into something high carb.

I had Nandos the other night, they do some great salads and the carbs weren't bad.

I buy a lot of reduced meat and freeze it, and buy a lot of veg!

It feels sustainable at this point. I'm sticking with the approx 20g a day for another couple of weeks, to really get the WOE ingrained. Just googling for low carb bread recipes!

I'm already planning my low-carb Xmas feast. Grin

You definately need to stay ahead on the grocery shopping.

I have batch cooked low carb no spag Bol from the low carb section of the recipes section today, and stuck portions in the freezer,

I sometimes have it for breakfast - treating breakfast like just another meal works well for me.

I prob don't do 100% no carb but it still works - I just eliminate all starchy carbs ie anything with flour in, rice, potatoes. I basically eat anything no carb ie breakfast: yog and grapefruit, lunch: tuna mayo salad, dinner: normal dinner minus the carbs ie spaghetti Bol with no spaghetti etc
