On the wagon again...

in the morning!

I've had a busy few months - new house, new school for DC, back from holiday and I need to get back on the low-carb wagon in the morning.

The carbs crept back up slowly without me really noticing and now I feel bloated, flabby and lethargic again.

So tomorrow brings a new day and the start of a 6 week push pre-Christmas.

Mumsnet kept me so motivated over the Summer, that I thought if I wrote on here then there would be no excuses!

Lets hope the new chicken start bloody laying (8 weeks in an not one single egg!).

I've done Atkins in the past extremely successfully but reverted to old habits and put way more weight on that I ever shed. But this time I'm not being so purist about my low-carbing and using it more as a kind of 'lifestyle' change together with an almost-daily gym visit. Reaping rewards already :-)

So good to read that many people are making the same 'journey'; looking forward to some mutual support!

Thanks giraffe - the day has been fine - as it always in on day 1!

Breakfast passed me by (three children to get out of the house by 8am) but just had an avocado, grilled chicken breast, baby gem with olive oil.

What I would really like now is some chocolate or fruit, but I shall resist the temptation given it is day 1 Wink!

Supper will be a home made minestrone soup without the pasta, but with lots of Parmesan. Yum!

I'm back on the wagon too - had a holiday with friends last week in the middle of nowhere and low-carbing seemed too faddy for communal cooking, limited food shopping opportunities etc. But been back on the wagon since the start of the week and today's the first day of feeling really great on it again. Stick with it through that initial carb-withdrawl!
