Low-carb diets

Anyone who has lost weight low carbing know how many calories they have been eating?

I know it's not about calories but I am curious aout how it stacks up. I have just started today, have followed the boot camp rules and have eaten enough not to be hungry. A rough entry into MFP tells me I have had just over 2000 calories. Will I really lose weight? I suppose what I am asking is, is it really not about calories?

Yes you will lose weight and it is not about the calories.

I tracked my calories during a week and ended up at over 2000 kcal everyday but still lost weight!

Honestly, do not worry about calories.

Wow. That sounds encouraging. I think this will suit me well.

I logged on MFP for about 3 weeks, and was more often than not at or over my calorific intake.

I don't log it anymore because I've lost weight consistently without even looking at it.

I'm on day 11 and I haven't hit my calories yet! Slightly worried, I'm eating big meals that come in at 4-500 cals, but I'm so full I only manage twice a day! I hit 1400 once, other days it's been 1000 - 1200.
My percentages are 65%+ fat, less than 10% carbs, the rest protein. Have lost 8lb so far.
