I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread of things that are low carb in restuarants/takeaways/fast food places?

McDonalds - chicken breast & bacon salad (no dressing) is 7g carbs.

Subway - any of their sliced meat/cheese with salad in a bowl & mayo is passable

Frankie and Bennys - Burgers are gluten free, just ask for no bun
- They will replace potato with salad but ask for no dressing!

Nandos - chicken!

There's a fab place near me that's all you can eat meat skewers Grin

Carvery - just skip the Yorkshires and potatoes

Frankie and benny's also has steak and salad

I think cafe rouge has it on its menu too.

Pizza express- last time I went I had Almonds (yum) and the Salad Nicoise and left the bread sticks. Some of the other salads might be ok too.
I used to have the Melanzane Parmigiana thinking it was lower carb than a Pizza, but according to myfitnesspal it still has 20g of carbs per portion. Not too sure whether to trust the data in there though.

Wetherspoons - club salad, just ask for no dressing

any steak - you can ask the chips to be swapped with salad

same with their gammon.

Can also do an make-your-own breakfast, I usually pick egg, bacon & mushrooms.

Byron Hamburgers do a "Skinny Burger" which is the classic burger without the bun plus side salad. Delicious! You can also add various cheeses, dry cure bacon, avocad, portobello mushroom etc. Double delicious!

Marking place as this is a great thread.

Handmade burger co. - would any burger be ok without the bun (and no fries obv.) my fave is the chicken, cranberry and Brie one, am guessing the cranberry would make it too carby?
