there's no problem in principle in that (full fat) mayonnaise is good and high fat for low carbing. have you stopped losing weight? if you're losing in a satisfactory way then there's not too much to worry about.

however, it does depend on the brand you're using, as some may be higher carb and/or have more artificial ingredients, so if you're eating lots there could be a bit of 'carb creep' where actually you're eating more carbs than you thought

if you are worried, i would check the amount of carbs per 100g, which should be listed on the label, then weigh out your usual portion size and work out the number of carbs in your usual portion. that will give you an idea of the number of grams of carbohydrate you are getting from mayonnaise over the course of a day

if you are making your own mayonnaise, however, i wouldn't really worry at all, because it will be very low carb and completely free of artificial ingredients

You could weigh the amount you eat & check the carb content on the side of the jar. If you are eating too many carbs because of the mato, it would be time to cut back. If it is homemade & carb-free, then I guess you can have as much as you like :)

My only problem with mayo would be the quality of oils used; in terms of possible oxidation. Also other ingredients vary of course. So I wouldn't use it as a main source of fat for sure - but I'm sure some is completely fine.

I tried making my own mayo from a high quality olive oil. Tasted absolutely horrible - I don't recommend! Shock Hellman's Real Mayo for me now if I want a dollop with my fish or burger...
