Low-carb diets

How does one stop losing weight

I had to go gluten free and ended up lo-carb by default as I discoeverd potatoes and all grains were an issue so my diet is now fish, veggies, fruit, plenty of mayo, eggs, oils, butter. I'd maybe been a stone over my pre-kids weight but hadnt been that bothered.
Then all fell off but I'm still losing weight despite eating all day (my appetite isnt huge either). I eat pulses - chickpeas mainly as lentils also trigger acid attacks.
A typical day is a banana omellete, almonds as a snack. A huge salad with mayo and maybe smoked salmon or another fish at lunch. Fruit and nuts mid afternoon. Tea is generally a chickpea and veggie curry on cabbage mayo coselaw followed by strawberries and double cream. More nuts. Sometimes I'll risk a rice cake with butter but more than one triggers the acid reflux. I put butter on the fish/corn on the cob/anything hot as I love butter.

But it needs to stop now as I'm running out of boobs!

what about cheese and crackers before bed

or a cheese omelette instead of a banana omeltte - what is a banana omelette incidentally?!

crackers are grain unfortnately.
A banana omelete is a mashed banana stirred into 3 beaten eggs and fried in butter. Delish.

Use Nuts that are higher carb than almonds? Almonds are lower carb than a lot of other nuts and presumably you now need a way to get more carbs in but there are limited options you can use.

Fruit any good?

Try incorporating more dairy as it makes lots of people stop losing weight when they are low carbing!

What sort of nuts? I dont tolerate dairy as cheese very well but cream weirdly enough seems to be fine.

There is a list of the carb counts in nuts and almonds are one of the lower ones. I can't recall all the details but if you ask on the boot camp week 10 thread all the experts like BIWI and Willie would have a lot of knowledge about this.

thanks. I want to stay low carb as I feel so much better but I dont want to lose anymore weight. Its amazing how much better I feel. If you'd told me this last year I'd of laughed in your face! It was definately wheat and grains making me sick.

Use almond flour to bake crackers and other baked goods.

Had some great food this evening - Korean barbecue Osso Buco cheap, easy and the best thing I have tasted this year - impressive enough I think to serve if you are entertaining, kids liked it too. We served it with celeriac mash and springs green - drool! We will make it again and again!

And the second thing, I came up with a treat for the dcs.

2 medijool dates mashed up with a satchel of coconut cream (50g), i used the pestle and mortor, add a heaped teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Roll into balls and coat with chocolate. Very easy and according to them, very tasty, I'm still on a chocolate embargo. Sad

Thank you for the offal recipes, I will be trying them out - does anyone do liver with beetroot?
