Morning campers!

You all know the drill by now - here's the Spreadsheet of Fabulousness or the Weight Tracker

I hope that the scales are kind to you this morning!

And as we enter the last two weeks, let's see if we can be super vigilant and keep an eye on those pesky carbs.

Thanks BIWI yip these last two weeks I am going to be as good as I can be. I've not lost as much as I had hoped this BC so might do the last two as proper BC rather than BCL. I think too much fruit had been sneaking in.

B: Chicken livers fried in butter (need to use them)
L: Makerel fillets in oil and salad
D:Courgetti bolognese
S: FF yogurt

Not weighing this morning, aiming for tomorrow.

Had some socially obligated carbs last week and it's TOTM so don't expect scales will show a loss yet again.

Positives: straight back to low carb afterwards, mild carb cravings were easy to ignore, bloated tummy is flat this morning.

Hello. Not going to weigh til tomorrow as had a 'lite' weekend! Have lost over a stone (started slightly before this one) so am delighted. These rules really work for me and don't feel like I'm missing out. Have had a thyroid function test this week and will be interested to see if that has been affected. Super strict for the last 2 weeks now!!! Definitely up for another BC afterwards if on the cards? Don't know if I'll be able to cope without the spreadsheet in my life... Dipped under 12 stone last week and was very over excited!

Hi everyone :-)

I don't think I'll weigh this week and next as I really haven't been careful enough - day to day I have been following it pretty much consistently, but have had so many occasions to celebrate with friends and family over the past couple of months that there hasn't really been room for the strictness required to see noticeable results. But I'm ok with that - I have maintained my weight and my good health and I know that in the next couple of months (I have no more engagements until end of August) I will get cracking and make some good progress. Will also be taking up boxing classes from this week and making a concerted effort to make time for gym.

Well done to everyone, and good luck for the last two weeks!

Morning all. Haven't posted for a couple of weeks, just feel a bit meh but have kept on keeping on.

I think I have probably found my maintenance weight - have the odd planned off piste moments but generally the rest of the time I eat fairly strict bootcamp. This morning I weighed 139.5 lbs which is a size 10/12 for me. Although there are quite a few rolls and squishy bits I know these can be taken care of with some decent exercise. I just need some child care or the toddler to be a bit less of a handful to achieve it.

The support on here is amazing. Thank you everyone & especially BIWI. I wouldn't be where I am now without you all.

hi there, I couldn't wait to start with next bc so hopped on the wagon last Tuesday. I plan to be sticking with the plan for a while as have piled on 5 stone which is having effect on my health. I did lc after last babe more than 13.yrs ago and used ketostix, had no trouble turning them purple. This time around they only turn pink but only after about a minute....been really good , no diary, lots of fat, v low carb veggies. 10 calorie no sugar jelly (half small pot a day). rest just meat/fish/fowl Any idea why stix stay light pink ?

STS this week again but not too annoyed as the marvellous TrueWeight app is still showing a lovely downward trend.

Monday mornings are never the best after a weekend of BCL. I got down much lower last week but too much eating over the weekend - even though all allowed foods, I think it was just too much of them. I've still got the greedy mentality at times. We had a takeaway curry on Saturday night - I was very good and had lamb madras and spinach bhaji with no rice or naan. BUT I ate the whole portion of lamb, and all the spinach. I really didn't need to, but I got to the point where there wasn't enough left to be worth saving for leftovers, so I just troughed the lot.

This is the issue I need to address next. What I should have done is served up a nice plateful and then put the rest away before I sat down to eat.

Good luck everyone as we reach the final furlong!

I've lost a stone! THat makes me 12 stone on the nose. ANother 7lbs and I will feel comfortable again. Was wibbling around 170/171 lbs for nearly 2 weeks but the whoosh fairy came to call on Satuday night Grin

Welcome Sassy - Hopefully the stix are lighter because you're more hydrated - a purple result would indicate that you hadn't been drinking enough water to flush the ketones through.

I'm not weighing either, I'm going on the 'Can I Fit Into My Size 12 Jeans' measure.

Today's CIFIMS12J result = negative. But closer.

Grin

B - spinach omelette
L - leftover roast broccoli and feta salad
D - roast chicken and braised cabbage

Oooh, that reminds me, anyone want a pair of Wallis size 18 petite white cotton trousers (so not for the long of leg!). Bought for my Easter holiday and now too big Grin. Worn twice on holiday and once since.

PM me if anyone's interested. Nice and light so easy to post.

Haven't weighed yet, tomorrow.
But, I did have a denim size 12 skirt on yesterday. So chuffed!

Weighed in but haven't entered for the previous week so don't know if I've lost 1lb or 2lbs. Anyway, it means I have lost half a stone on this bootcamp which I'm ecstatic about Grin I last weighed the same pre children after being massively strict on a low fat diet. I always felt I was on borrowed time being that weight. This time I feel normal and also like I could lose more if I wanted to. The journey here has been more delicious too!

It was 2lbs Grin I have skipped a week ahead. I blame DH for changing our calendar to July this morning!

Morning everyone, wow week 9 already! Had a difficult weekend with very little sleep and being so tired (and grumpy) gave me massive carb cravings, especially for chocolate which was really annoying. I managed not to give in and did some baking for the kids as it weirdly seems to help take the edge off. I didn't eat any of what I made but the smells and the action of baking must have some kind of psychological comfort for me without the need to actually eat the end results, I had some yoghurt with a tiny bit of coconut and vanilla instead but really missed something sweet.

Had an early night last night and a lie in this morning and feel much better now so hopefully those ugly sugar cravings won't rear their heads any more.

Half a pound up from Wednesday which I think is due to lack of sleep and not enough water but still down from last week and still on the 2 stone loss mark for starting point so I'm happy with that. Wish my tummy would shrink down a bit more though, my top half is much smaller and my jeans are now loose in the hips and legs but my tummy is still to big to fit the next size down and it's the part I hate the most Hmm

Mornin! My trend line stays stubbornly flat I'm afraid. Still, after my foray into carb refeeds I think I'm properly back into ketosis as I actually feel much better again. The carbs did me no favours whatsoever.

Got a GP revue tomorrow and going to try and do a deal to stop my statins. I have my bloods done again in September so I'm hoping she will agree on the understanding that I will go back on them if my cholesterol soars. Its never been massively high but you know what NHS protocols are like! My theory is that they have a rep for raising blood glucose and affecting insulin resistance so maybe that could be why my weight loss has dried up. I'm gonna go in there fighting! Grin

miffy - have a read of Dr Malcolm Kendrick's website and also Zoe Harcombe's stuff

That should give you a bit of evidence!

Thanks Biwi. On my way to check them out! Read Zoe Harcombe's diet book a long time ago. Never got on with the idea of having to mess about with different meals. Can't remember her views on cholesterol though.

This is the bit from ZH I really like:

"Another huge irony is that cholesterol and fat are the two main repair substances in the body. So, a lesion forms and cholesterol will head to the area to do its repair job and to try to fix the scab. Then, if the person dies because there’s only so much cholesterol can do, pathologists find cholesterol around the scab – at the scene of the crime so to speak – and blame cholesterol for causing the damage. How unfair is that?! Police are always at the scene of the crime, but no one accuses the police of committing all the crimes!"

Up 1lb this week but I'm bouncing around again so I won't take it to heart!

Congratulations to all the losers!

Fab loss Best

Good luck with the Gp Miffy

I'm having a low spot at the moment, just a bit out of sorts and ready for a holiday type of thing, but it makes me stay away from here for some reason. I think that I don't want to come and on here and pollute it all by moaning!

I've had two quite lax weeks so I'm going to buckle down again now. I think I'm going to try and keep the variety of BCL but I'm going to track my input on MFP and keep carbs under 30g and calories around 1600. I'm not sure how appropriate the calorie intake is but the keto calculator seems to think it's the right amount in order to loose 1lb per week weight loss (for me). My BMI is currently 23.7 so I need to keep an eye on calorie intake in order to loose.

Anyone want to join me in a stricter push for the finish?

Grin I like that idea 8Biwi*!

I've just got the Kendrick book for Kindle and will have a look through. Luckily my appt isn't until the afternoon so I can at least get a few more arguments to hand. That's if I can remember them! The LCHF has improved my brain function no end but the FMS means I still don't retain info that well and it puts me at a disadvantage in an argument.
