I have followed a primal eating lifestyle since the beginning of the year. I haven't touched refined sugar or wheat , bread, cakes, pasta or rice but have the occasional meal with beans , hummous, etc
I eat nuts ,dairy and fruit and have lots of soups. I think my weight loss has been slower than people who completely low
carb but I am happy because I feel so much better. I'm lighter but have more energy and better skin than before.

Hi Jules I can't answer your question but you might get a better response in the low-carb diets section rather than here (low-carb bootcamp) as most people in this section are following BIWIs bootcamp. I think it the low-carb diets section there are more people doing paleo/primal diets.

Here is the link to the low-carb diets section

Hey jules - I felt this too after. Few months of low carbing bootcamp style. I think it's a great way to maintain but you may not lose so much if you don't have much to lose.

I eat keto/paleo at the moment as I have some weight to lose so do not currently have fruit or nuts. However I have felt very very good on ore liberal paleo when I have not had weight to lose and eaten nuts and raisins (often 1000 calories a time of them) and sweet potato and some fruit. I can eat 7 bananas at a time - you can see I have fruit issues.....

I've done exactly the same. Bootcamp style eating was absolutely fantastic for getting my head around the beauty of low-carb/clean eating but after a few months I needed a bit more variety...and I missed apples!

So I now tend towards a primal style of eating rather than strict paleo, as I can give up grains and sugar but not dairy. I love having a sweet potato or some sharp cheddar with a crisp apple now and again and not worrying that I'm overdoing it.

Your weightloss will undoubtedly be slower than if you're consistently
