If I can earn up to £20, without it affecting the Inc support, will it affect Hb and Cax ben tho?

I am currently on a benefit which is more than Inc support, and I know that it has affected the amount of Hben and C tax ben I have been awarded.

They havent taken it off like for like iyswim. I was wondering if anyone could tell me at what amount they do start reducing the hben and ctax ben?

Is there any point working for the £20?

i found out, as long as i am on inc support or entitled to it it doesnt affect the h ben or c tax ben.

Got here too late but yes thats right, and if you earned anything over the £20 then your IS would reduce so it wouldnt be worth earning more unless you took it to 16 hours.

I used to earn £70 a week, so just got £9.15 IS a week but still got all the entitlements that went along with it. Way i see it iits £20 in your pocket for whatever you fancy,, not a lot but it helps.

you can earn up to £20 a week without it affecting any benefits. you must give dss details of who, what, where and how much. they check up once a year. a letter from whoever you work for is enough. theyre very easygoing about it, i used to earn loads more while claiming but also did a lot of voluntary stuff so they let me take any and all expenses from paid and unpaid out of my earnings. you may not get the same deal, was just one fella who believed me when i was called in for fraud, wrote it all out in a statement for me to sign and never had any more bother.
