I'll join you then, although not a lone parent, but dh is working away and dd1 ended up at A&E earlier today with suspected broken elbow, they say its not, but she keeps screaming the place down still every hour or so....she's just dropped again, so I really should try and get some sleep, sigh.

I'm a single parent, but was married for a total of 16 years. However, looking back i was a lone parent throughout it all. Marriage can be the lonliness of times even without a dh that works away; when it comes to parenting!!!

my daughter , 4, has regular stints at A&E as one elbow often dislocates. they taught me what to do now! it may be that this is what she did but it went back in again, it usuaslly does apparently. In which case this may be slipping back and forth a little until the area recovers. it is very painful. Breaks are usually pretty bruised, can be very purple even, so if bruising comes out then i'd go back . good luck!

Thanks for the info, I've heard off several people elbows are horrible to spot even if they are broken especially when they're still growing....sigh....am very tired and at work at the mo, dd1 and 2 are with babysitter, who is taking very good care of them but we were up lots all night, sigh. How did everyone else do?

my ds woke up screaming in agony, scared the life out of me as i couldnt do anything to console him he wouldnt open his eyes and had mottled skin. Couldnt find anything wrong with him majorly just a bit of infection after a trip to the emergancy doctor. Kids hey know exactly how to scare you.
