Sounds good to me. How old is your DD5?

about 5 years ago DH and I (pre child) went to the Lahore Kebab House in east London for Xmas lunch. We had a fantastic time - I say go for it!

dd5 is 5

well i was thinking of getting chinese in, but it doesnt re heat very well!! esp as being a veggie i tend to have lots of 'veggies' !

DD only eats tuna sandwiches as a rule!! If carnivocre sis comes she'd have to bring meat, so i might suggest to her we order indian the night before and do that. i rarely get indian food, as there is a minimum order fee. Thats just the way it is!!

I just dont think i'd be missing out, as there is a pub near us which does a fantastic carvery, including a veggie option, which we will prob go to the sunday before. So I think i'll be parsnip'd out.!

We did Marks and Spencer Indian food for years until the kids moaned too much. Now dh does a turkey thing, and is always convinced they will have food poisoning. I am veggie too, and know nothing about roasting things.

Wow, I'd forgotten all about the Lahore Kebab House, what a great place!

Pirategirl, I'd rather have Indian food than a roast tbh.

I think that sounds great.

Christmas day should be about enjoying time with your DD, not about spending hours stressing over food that neither of you wants to eat.

I was going to ask about your other 4 dd's (dd5 normally indicates that she is your 5th daughter ie ds2 is 2nd son etc etc) but realise you mean she is 5.

Well sounds a great plan we used to have a huge fry up christmas morning and then just have a cold meat/salad/potatos buffet thing in the evening so my Mum didnt have to spend all day cooking was great (think I was about 7 at time then when I was around 10 til I was 16 we went away on holiday every christmas with loads of family/friemds so noones mum did the cooking used to overtake a resturant on christmas day (there were around 35 of us) and had a real laugh/giggle with the staff)
