I've been there before and have to say it was much nicer to go with a child!!

Was tiring, but dd5 enjoyed it, we had to visit the Captain hook ship about 5 times. made me laff cos she is NOT girly at all, and dresssed as a pirate for the whole time!!

I just want to go back, it was pure escapism. The real world is pants imo.

yes, disney is great. I know some people can be a it snobby about disney land but we have been twice this year and have loved it. My ds talks about it all the time. Glad you enjoyed it, get saving up to go to Florida!

Disney is fab- I cannot put into words how amazing it was to see my kids have the time of their lives.

Is the France one expensive?

My DD would love Disney (anywhere). She's been obsessed with all things Mickey since she was 2 (and it doesn't show signs of waning).

One day....

HIya

I went with dd, and my mum. I was going to go just me and dd, but thought it would be nice to have something we could all remember, as my mum lives abraod anyway, and we havent spent much time together for yrs.

It also worked out much cheaper to have my mum share the room. I booked it back in Feb, not knowing that kids under 7 go freee this year, I was just told the price by the travel agent, for an october saver.

I came home and went onto the same site and looked at the prices for earlier on in the october-the 1st, and for some bizarre reason it came under the early bird september booker dates, and was about £100 cheaper.
So went back to the agents and told them and they got it for the same price.

I would reccomend the disney paris site, for a scan around at thier prices, and I would defbook well in advance.

We bought our flights separately, and also had to buy our transfers serarately. But still, with the advance booking we still saved alot.

There may still be good deals for the rest of this yr with the kids go free thing, but I am not sure when that ends.

The price for me and dd to go for the hotel (basic but fine) 4 nights and 5 day pass was £330, and then mum was only about 30 quid extra, as we shared a 2 double bed room.

Food very expensive there, a rip off, but we survived on rolls nicked form the hotel, as most do, and took lots of snacks for dd, like kitkats , crisps etc.. In fact altho i did spend about 200 quid, most was on food and cokes!!!

We ate at the buffet at the hotel at night, prefering to be able to help ourselves. It was quite pricey but quite alot of choice, and lots to stash in your bag too!!

i enjoyed it, lots of nationalities, lots of upbeat people, and i'd def go again when dd is older to go on the bigger rides.

I know you added this post a while ago but wondered if you could tell me if you booked the EuroDisney hotel/tickets direct or through a travel agent? I'm looking at doing a weekend there maybe next Christmas and I got a brochure from Thomas Cook. It looks quite expensive but it does include ferry and park tickets. Any advice would be gratefully received! thanks.

hiya,

I looked at this the proper Disney Paris site first,
here

and saw the prices just for the hotel and park passes. I had a good scan around as there are lots of different deals, esp early booking, and of course for this year kids under 7 stayed for free.

Then I went down the travel agents who also went direct to them on the phone , and the travel agents were able to get me the same prices,as I saw online.

I then went away, and checked again online. I had prices for late October (early booker as I booked in Feb) THEN I looked at their september deals, and lo and behold their september offer also included the 1st week in oct. Very weird. So, I went back to the travel agents and she looked it up, rang them and I got my price. I was much happier to be going early rather than late oct, just thought the weather would be ok!!

Now I had no idea how to get there, but on my first visit to travel agents, she said do you want to fly, and I said yes please!. I had not thought of this option, as I live in Devon, and flights out of Exeter, are always pricey. But no, they were really reasonable, about £80 return each. Far easier than faffing about on trains.

I too looked in a few brochures, and the prices were pretty high. I think many of them include the travel, whether, ( and u can choose) eurostar, coach/ferry, or flight.

where are you in the uk, u might be better off flying. The u get a coach to the park, aslo, go midweek if u can, less busy and cheaper.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely have a good look round to get some good prices. I live in North Yorkshire so can get to Leeds/Bradford or Manchester airport easily. The only problem is that it looks like there'll be 5 adults and 1 child (we're all big kids really!) and also that my sister who wants to come is a teacher so restricted to school holidays. We may have to postpone it for a year or so to save up! Thanks again though.

try newmarket holidays, ask for their brochure, its £199 for adults, £79 for kids! if you do book with free child places (other agents), you end up paying extra in adult prices, so technically the child does not go free! neway its a coach holiday, via eurostar, get to stay at a disney hotel bnb, with a one day hopper pass! i think very good value for money. we were due to go tommorow, but had to cancell due to lack of funds! hopefully try again in a month or so!

yet i paid £360 for 2 adults and one (free)child, for 4 nights/5 days and that incldied a five day pass.

it would have been £330 just for me and the child. basically that was the room rate, so mum coming made only a £30 difference. That was direct to Disneysite.
