My ex partner is on income support!! Which he pay £5 a week toward the CSA.

Since my son was born on the 5th of march 2005. I never received any CSA, i always thought because my ex is on income support. So am i.

Recently the CSA just starting paying me £5 a week, since 2 weeks ago.

Which i am confused. I am thinking should they've been paying me, since my son was born. Should i enquire?

Many thanks

Natalie x

hi natuk,

the csa are terrible. you can chase it up but wouldnt hold out any hopes of getting what youre owed. £5 a week is a lot of money to you but nothing to them. ive had nothing but wasted phone calls to them and im still not getting what im owed even though they take the exes money straight out of his wages

good luck anyway

p.s make sure you get the surname of the person you talk to as well as the first name and ask them what "team" they are in and jot it all down for when you have to ring them again

the CSA!! after 7 years i finally got £80 from the jobcentre as x claims jsa for years. Then csa gave £80 back to xp as they made a mistake!!!im not entitled to compenation from csa as it is only the one time they have made a mistake!

I have fought with the CSA for over 7 years to get any money at all from my ex.

It is a really long long story but suffice to say that it has taken the involvement of 3 different MPs for me to get the pittance my ex now pays me.

Of course now my ex is on jsa or income support (I think the latter) - he should be paying me £70 per month being the current amount plus an amount towards the arrears (currently around £10k).

My advice if you aren't happy with the CSA get on to your MP - you can find them on the parliament website - there is special department for dealing with issues raised by MPs.

In those 7 years my MPs have managed to get me around £300 compensation for the gross incompetence displayed by the CSA!
