I'm sitting on my bed eating a huge portion of home made cheese and potato bake. Watching commonwealth boxing.

7yo DS is asleep. 5yo DD has been doing shuttle runs across the landing "to tire myself out mummy!".

So nothing exciting. I did wax my legs while they had baths, I want to get some sunshine in the garden tomorrow.

Me too. Being in at the weekends is rubbish. The Kids are at their dads but I have no one to go out with Hmm
I've had a bath and beautified myself, for what purpose I'm not entirely sure!

I'm in bed on Match.com - fucking depressing I can tell you. I just ate a packet of rolos I was saving for the kids (they never knew about them anyway!)

I am drinking wine, sitting in my bra and pants at my dining table and window shopping the sales on the internet while Alan Carr witters on in the background on my TV. Multitasking. Wine Grin

I haven't had a night out in town for about 4 - 5 years now, so long I can't even remember. But it never bothers me because I'm getting quite old now (42). Also, I've just come back from a holiday, so I did kind of have nights out every night for a week at the hotel bar.

Tonight a friend came round and we made weddding flowers and drank tea. Me and dd had spag bol for dinner. I'm thinking of having another bowl of it now, probably it's too late but melted cheese on top is too hard to resist. Right, I'm going to eat that and watch TV. What could be better than that?

All those that want to go out, you're probably not missing anything good.

I'm having a bottle of wine and chatting to two possible dates.

DC has been in bed since 7.

I'm watching some rubbish on TV. Least its not the night screen of cbeebies. I haven't been out for over 6years

Friday nights have been the same since December. Some weeks dc1 stays up and we have a pamper session but contact has started on a Saturday so we now have them on a sat night.

Its very boring. But I'm getting compliments from one possible date so its making it better.

I'm also sitting in my pants! Looking forward to hairdressers in the morning to get rid off my very grey roots!

miss yes I am really looking forward to it as I love camping but this time their is all sorts organised for the kids and everyone helps out. I have no skills at all so think I will be helping out for a few hours in the craft tent. Its cost me £25 in all plus petrol so a cheap weekend away and I get to spend some time with a lovely person I met through a single parent site.

I had my haircut after my night shift this morning by another nurse that used to be a hairdresser. I feel so much lighter she cut about 6 inches off!

You would piss yourself if you saw how bad my roots are! I have genuinely avoided going out in public as much as possible as I'm so ashamed of them. Will all be rectified tomorrow! X

misstired yes she's asleep, all is calm now.

My potato bake is a poor womans potato dauphinoise. Get a big casserole dish, layer sliced spuds, good grating of cheese, slosh of double cream. Repeat until dish is full. I sometimes add chopped garlic / sliced totatoes / kale / spinach to the layers too. I don't pay much attention to the cooking, but it's something like 200 for 45 minutes, the spuds should be golden and the cream + cheese bubbly and melty. I check whether the spuds are cooked by prodding it with a fork. It cooks while I get the kids to bed and stays warm for ages if I'm running late.
