Jellyjelly has a date what to wear?

Ok, new to all this dating, not sure where we are going yet as he is deciding as i dont know the pubs well but he said somewhere with a garden or good aircon as it will be 33c on the day or so.

Dont have alot of clothes but have black trousers/3/4 length jeans and smarter tops but someone gave me advice which was gratefully received not to be too smart or it might scare him off.

Getting so nervous now its almost untrue.

white jeans make your arse look big imo, and get dirty really quickly

a skirt, flip flops and a t shirt instead

Report
jellyjelly · 24/07/2006 18:42

Wore flipflops the night i met him, do you think it matters? There is quite a size difference which he liked as i felt small.

tbh i dont think he will bin you off because you wore flip flops twice in a row

Report
jellyjelly · 24/07/2006 20:31

ok, i know i am being silly but x ruined almost every inch of what i thought was true and finding it hard now in what to think. Thinking back he didnt like it when i changed the music i liked, clothes etc.

Think it's a fallacy that men like women to look somehow subdued or dressed down. TBH I think they prefer women to look fantastic.

I would wear the nicest casual dress I could get away with and aim to look feminine and reasonably natural. Like maybe a close fitting (but not skintight) stretchy dress and definitely high heels (but not drastically high), some make up but nothing crass, wear my hair long and smooth.

Good plan, cant wear heels so have to be flat, will be wearing makeup and feeling pretty face wise. I do have a nice dress but wasnt going to wear it for this date.

hi jellyjelly...its hard to know what to wear when you've been out of the dating scene for a while isnt it.i know i worried more about my outfits than the actual guy i was meeting(it was someone i met online lol).i dont think you can go wrong with a good pair of jeans,a nice summery top and flip flops or heels,if you want to be more dressy.dont think theres anything worse than feeling over or underdressed lol,i found this sort of outfit was neither.
hoe whatever you decide to wear you have a great evening
