I?m new to this site so just thought I would say hi and introduce myself.
I?m 25 and have a 3 and a half year old daughter. I've been a lone parent since my daughter was 12 weeks old.
Her dad threw us out onto the street and 10.30 at night in sept 2009.
He cheated on me with a girl at work. He moved her in straight away and I was only aloud to take DD's things and my clothes, nothing else.
Since then I?ve got back on my feet have got a new job, passed my driving test, brought my first car, and we have a place of our own.
DD does see her dad as much as I dislike him for what he put me through he is her dad and it?s not my place to stop her. If she wants a relationship with him then I will fully support her.
He see's her as and when he can be bothered. He works 4 days a week and lives a 10 min drive away. He see's DD around once very two weeks and rarely has her overnight to stay. I get £30/40 from him every few months, I tried csa but he got so aggressive towards me I stopped my claim.
Look forward to chatting :)

It sounds like you've done an amazing job at looking after both yourself and your DD. Loads of support and good advice here. You've come to the right place Wink

Thank you for your replies :-) I went through the csa about two years ago but when I told dd's dad and he found out how much he would be paying he got aggressive and told me to withdraw my claim so I did. I am still scared of him if I'm honest and what he will do if I was to go back through them.

Get your Csa claim going and set up a trust fund for dd as you clearly don't need it. She will thank you when there is uni fees to pay and it's the least (mostAngry) he can do.
If he tries anything do not be afraid to call the police.
Do not be afraid.
You are a strong woman, you have survived him.
