camping in france

Hello. I'm taking my five year old son to the south of France camping this summer. It's our first proper holiday on our own. I want to travel around, maybe even going to Spain, and I want to stay for about three weeks, given we've got nothing to rush back for. I will take a small tent for overnight trips, and a bigger one for longer stays. I've got quite a lot of camping equipment. We've camped before, but I've never done anything like this! Has anyone got any tips? Thanks in advance.

How exciting and you will have a ball. Have you thought about pre-booking at campsites where you don't need to pitch as they have tents already pitched and will take some of the stress out. However, this would need lots of planning.

get a pop up tent if you haven't got one. I have a family one and it is fab not too small and not too big. x
