Poor girl... I would explain to her calmly that it is a criminal offence to receive stolen goods and you can't have them in your house as you may be arrested as they often can trace where stolen good go. Inform her she would also be in trouble with the police if they find out that she is taking these items from her dad's gf....
See if you get any more...
If you do... say that as her Mum and as you know they are stolen you are duty bound to take her to the police station..... and I would do that.
My ex I believe is involved in stolen goods.. if my DS was to be in your DD position that is what I do.

thanks. It makes me sick, while im trying my best hes doing his worst in my eyes. Has always been that way, has always had adult conversations around her, while i think theres alot of things kids dont need to know!
Dont realy know what i was asking on here, just conformation that its bloody wrong. His mum is old an not a lot she could do.
DD has been told if i find out she has been anywhere with him or her whilst their shoplifting its only a matter of time until police or social services are involved. My main worry is that DD is growing up thinking this is the norm sad Shes bright, in a good school and doing well, but i know how easily this can be undone. Will be having another chat with her.

I'd take them all back round there and inform them that my daughter would not be receiving their ill-gotten gains. How dare they!! She is at a very impressionable age. Either that or I'd hand all goods in to the police station and give their address.... That would probably cause you a shitload of grief though.

That's god awful hmm feel for you. I wonder if this constitutes a welfare concern and or basis to suspend contact? What's his mum like? Would she condone this? Worth talking to her?

baisically my 13 yr old dd, has always seen her dad, not on a regular basis, but her bus from school passes his mums so occasionaly she would txt and tell me she was going to get off bus early an go visit..
long story short he has a girlfriend now, so when dd wants to see him she gets off at there stop an goes to his girlfriends with him. the past couple of times she has come home with a bag full off cat treats, other times bags with false eyelashes, false nails, nail varnishes, clothes that dont fit, various bits of crap if you ask me, but still from expensive shops. When i ask who or where these are from she proudly tells me that bla bla (dads girlfriend is a "top" shoplifter! obviously rolls into me telling her that its just a matter of time before she gets caught but leads into a big massive argument............ i knew my ex was thick, but to be telling our 13 yr dd the ins and outs of his gf's an probably his shopplifting habbits is making my blood boil... In my mind 13 ok near 14 year olds are so impressionable!!!!!!!!!!! imagine your DAD telling you he was going shoplifting sad....
