MNetters in France - best place to buy good value adult bikes (VTC / hybrids)

Hi there

I want to buy a couple of town and trail /hybrid bikes for myself and my husband to use at my parents' villa.

Where would be the best place to source them? I don't want to spend too much money as they won't get used enough to warrant a big spend but I want them to be reasonable.

Ideally, we don't want standard mountain bikes as they tend to be heavy and we would mainly be going on roads/tracks, so mountain bike style isn't necessary.

Decathlon is pretty reasonable, and can be found in most of the bigger towns.

DH got a great bike from going to a hire place at the end of season and getting an ex-rental bike. You'd need to be near a fairly touristy place to do that though.
