Have just had a little girl start with me, she is 4 and doesnt speak a word of english (other than calling me mummy and the dog by name) so any advice, handy lithuanian words? like toilet, drink etc.
She seems a really sweet girl, it just must be very hard for her.

alternatively you could use some sort of picture cards and the english word if you don't manage to learn the lithuanian words. www.do2learn.com has got lots of useful free little pictures for food/drink/toileting (designed for use for kids with language problems/other learning difficulties)but would have thought might be of help.

When my oldest started nursery he did not speak any English. His keyworker handed me a sheet with usefull words such as Toilet, Thirsty, Hungry, Need to wee, etc for me to complete. You might find it usefull to talk to her parent/carer, as she may use a dialect, or her own "special" word that you could not possibly know. Children are also awfully awkward with understanding "their mothertongue" if pronounced even just slightly incorrect.
