Arfishy, chloe and anyone else whose little one starts tomorrow or beyond.

Are you ready?

I have dd's 3 bags packed!! Yes three - one is school bag, one is library bags with books etc and the other is bag for pullups etc in case of accident.

Just need to lay uniform out and pack lunch in the morning.

Oh god - I am so nervous about it all.

She woke me up at about 5.30 this morning saying big school, PREP!!! then looked very when I said tomorrow not today!!!

She is dead keen.

yes there should be a pic on my profile - did the photo thingy ages ago when we went for a visit and they suggested she wore her uniform. Figured it might all be a bit much for her in the morning.

they have a few choices for uniform - a dress, the polo shirt and shorts that she has on as well as a dress shirt and skort. Figured the one she has was best for her. Dd2 - still 2 years away from school is determined she will wear the dress!!

eidsvold, good luck to Eids1 for tomorrow... I am sure she will love it & have great fun.

You'll miss her more than she will miss you...

Dd back at kindy, so not quite a huge step for her.

oh yes - wide brimmed only here as part of sun safe program and a very strong no hat no play ethos!! Thankfully it is the same as her kindy hat and so no issues with it.

oh my goodness. We have had a rainy summer - but no complaints here when we have a water shortage and are on somewhat tough restrictions.

#2 due July 17th, so some time yet.

Australia day was v nice. A nice quiet BBQ at IL's, dd told dh'd Grandma that we are expecting, which she is thrilled about.

Then we went to the local beach to watch Fireworks...lovely way to end the day.

Mad Aussies still in sea at 9.30pm... Looked wonderful actually...wish I coulda dipped, very warm day!

Thanks for that link Eidsvold. Will look into those when the tages I put on last night start disintigrating in the wash!!

We are now wondering how to uphold the No TV rule before school, as quoted by his school....how do people function with showers, brekkie and t'internet if children aren't watching TV, ESPECIALLY at 6am

califrau - it is 6.30am here so she is off in a couple of hours.

She was awake at 5.30 asking if it was time to go to school.

DC - especially when you have babies to feed and get sorted as well as older ones. They are allowed a little tv in the morning while I get sorted.

Ds doesn't start until his 5th birthday which is still a month away - but he is already wearing his school sunhat because it is so sunny here and I refuse to put him in a less good sunhat when we have one sitting here.

One kid has been at kindy all week in his future school uniform. Bless.

I've never heard of a no TV before school rule. What's the thinking behind that?
