Where can I within this week? I'm terrified of dentists, but need work done.

Also, about how much will a root canal cost?

Do they use numbing gel before the needle? Am very frightened of the injection.

Hi there,

We used Penny Hall here:-

www.merchantshub.com/index.php?option=com_sobi2&sobi2Task=sobi2Details&catid=11&sobi2Id=419&Itemid=53

A British lady who has been in Singapore for around 15 years. I would recommend her. She was very good with us and the kids.

Smilefocus has dentists that specialize in nervous patients, and always uses numbing gel before any injections .... But they're not cheap at all.

If you are looking for good budget dentistry in Asia, Malaysia and Thailand would be more economical than singapore and just as good.

We tried four other dentists surgeries before finding Dental on the Bay at Vivocity. DD1 is very nervous of dentists but they are very gentle with her and it has been fine. Dr Chin is lovely, but so are all the other dentists there.

Just wondering.... how is Raffles hospital Bugis? Any experience? Numbing gel?

Butterflies, I just broke my cane (visually impaired) and really need a newone before I can go far. I didn't realise how nice people were until I had to get around Orchard at night (including MRT) without a cane....People really don't what visually impaired is without seeing a cane...

Hi kitty, I've just asked on an expat wives Facebook page and the following response came back:

"I recommend the Q&M dental clinic at City square. I had two root canal treatments done there and it was fantastic! Never felt anything at all while he was doing all his stuff on my teeth! I had a dentist from L.A., don't remember his name but overall I had a great experience in that clinic."

I'm sure that numbing gel is standard, I've always had it at the dentists in singapore, make sure you ask for it though.

Hi kitty, other recommendations from the thread are national university hospital, much the cheapest and apparently wonderful, and doctor tan at white dental group. Hope this helps, good luck.

Thanks so much

Butterflies, numbing gel wasn't used either time in Thailand and I am scared of the injection...

I am terrified of the dentist but have recently been a couple of times to Jamie at Amoy St Dental.

4 of my friends/colleagues have also been and said he is great.
